This simple extension provides options to default your microphone and camera to disabled. It also displays emojis in the tab title indicating if your microphone is muted or your camera is on.

- (2023-04-11) Benoît Boucher: Simple, lightweight, does what it's supposed to do. Perfect! For those who report that the extension does not work or does not shut the camera, maybe you are experiencing something similar to me: on a PC running Windows 7, my camera's ON indicator (a green light) would sometimes remain lit even though the camera signal was OFF. This issue is gone now that I have upgraded to Windows 11.

- (2022-08-18) Rob Torchia: This doesn't work at all. Ticked both boxes and every time a new meeting starts is automatically starts both audio and video. Multiple browsers, multiple restarts, multiple times adding and removing extension.

The other major extension that does the same thing has not been updated for a long time, so i would trust this one to be the best one and updated with newer versions of browsers/meet.
