Description from store Tab Shelf brings an alternative vertical tabs experience to Microsoft Edge via the side panel. It also includes a variety of tab management features such as selecting tabs to sleep, filtering by tab group and window, moving tabs between tab groups and windows, and editing tab group metadata. You can also use rules to automatically group tabs based on which websites they're on. Tab Shelf’s minimalist design and simple user experience make it feel like an integral part of Microsoft Edge. ======================= KEY FEATURES ======================= - View and manage your tabs conveniently from the side panel. - Use rules to automatically group tabs from specific websites (or right-click on a tab and choose to group all tabs from the same site). - Save and restore tab groups and windows. - Choose from amongst 20 colors to differentiate your tab groups and windows. - Quickly search or filter your tabs by group, window, or whether they've got audio playing. - Duplicate tab detection and deletion (optional). - Sleep your tabs to save memory and energy. - Sync your settings and grouping rules via your Google account across your other computers. - Light and dark themes to match your browser, plus 20 accent colors to give your Tab Shelf some flair. ======================= USAGE ======================= You can launch Tab Shelf in a number of ways: 1. Opening the browser side panel via the toolbar button (on the right-hand side, next to your profile button) and selecting Tab Shelf. 2. Pinning the Tab Shelf extension button to the toolbar. This allows you to open Tab Shelf in a single click. BUG FIXES - Fixed issue where the assigned middle-click option is triggered by right-clicking on tab group headers. - Fixed issue where multiple clicks are required to set the tab group color. ======================= CHANGELOG - v2025.2.2 ======================= NEW FEATURES - Added the option to set custom actions when double-clicking a tab, and when middle-clicking tabs, tab group headers, and window headers. IMPROVEMENTS - Redesigned the Settings menu with a simple drill-down menu style. This means you will no longer be presented all of Tab Shelf's settings at one-go by default. BUG FIXES - Reduced repeated duplicate tab detection notifications. - Fixed performance regression caused by more aggressive duplicate tab detection. Tab filtering and search should also be faster as a result. - Fixed hover and selection background color in tab list. - Fixed broken tab group renaming modal. - Fixed non-persistent tab group color mappings (setting a tab group color sometimes doesn't appear to work, or sometimes the wrong color is mapped to the tab group). ======================= CHANGELOG - v2025.2.1 ======================= BUG FIXES - Fixed issue where submenus of context menus render too far from the parent menu. Whole tab groups can now be easily moved between windows via this menu. - Saves can now be sorted by alphabetical order or date added. BUG FIXES - Fixed memory leak issues with tab event handling. Memory and CPU usage should be improved. - Fixed issue where duplicate tab detection isn't being triggered immediately. - Fixed performance issues in duplicate tab detection engine. - Fixed issue where saved tab groups were not restored with the correct tab group color. - Fixed issue where picking a color for an existing tab group doesn't update the tab group color (the color picker also appeared to not register the selected color).
