Here's how Sundial works:
After installing and signing up, Sundial appears in the left column of Google Calendar.
1️⃣ Add Multiple Timezones to Your Calendar
Search for a place or timezone and Sundial adds that timezone to Google Calendar. Add as many as you need. Rename them as you'd like. Adjust them whenever.
2️⃣ Send Times Fast. No Timezone Errors.
Select new events on Google Calendar and click “Copy availability”. Sundial converts the event times into written text that’s ready to paste wherever you’re scheduling. Here's an example:
Mon: Jan 2: 9-11am EST
Tue, Jan 3: 8-9am, 10am-12pm EST
Need to adjust to another timezone? Search for a place or timezone in the Sundial, and your availability updates instantly. Here’s how it looks:
Mon, Jan 2: 3-5pm CET / 9-11am EST
Tue, Jan 3: 2-3pm CET / 8-9am EST
3️⃣ Overlay Meeting Requests on Your Calendar
When someone emails you to meet, click “View on Calendar” in Gmail. Sundial detects the meeting request and overlays the suggested times on your Google Calendar, automatically adjusted to your timezone.
4️⃣ Create Calendar Holds and Send Hold Times
Select a new event on Google Calendar and click “Create hold”. Sundial will save the hold and save the event's times to Sundial (not copy them). Once all your holds are created, click "Copy times" in Sundial to share the hold times with colleagues.
5️⃣ Automatically Delete Calendar Holds
Click on any existing event with the word "Hold" in the title. Then click "Select holds to delete." Sundial displays all holds with the matching title, allowing you to quickly select and delete the ones you want.
6️⃣ Work Seamlessly with Team Calendars
Scheduling with teammates? Sundial works with any calendars you can overlay in Google Calendar.

- (2023-07-31) Elan Frantz: Amazing tool! This really helps to streamline scheduling. I'd say that I save 2-3 minutes on proposing meeting options, an action that I do 4-5 times a day. I'm suprised that Google didn't create something like this themselves! It would be great to see suggestions based on multiple Google calendards as well :)
- (2023-04-18) Gabriel Leoni: I almost thought google made this for their own calendar after installing, its sleek and simple enough to shave off several minutes of mind-sucking attention when trying to schedule a meeting. Calendly is cool, but most people just want to know "when and where" while scheduling a meeting - they don't want to go through the process of using yet another app on top of email. Plus, I feel less pretentious and more down-to-earth using this tool!
- (2023-04-11) Jace Dispenza: Such a simple and effective way to schedule meetings with people in other time zones. Takes all the adjusting and extra googling out of the equation. Easy! It also helps when a Calendly link just feels a bit inappropriate - I don't always feel comfortable sending a top executive a scheduling link that works for MY schedule... they're typically busier than I am. This is saving me tons of time! Loving it.
- (2023-04-11) Matt Gargano: This is a super simple plugin to use and has already saved me a ton of time after a few quick uses.
