Ctrl-F Plus enables cross-tab search functionality in a browser window by extending the browser's native Ctrl + F Find Feature (Cmd + F on Mac). Now you can find a specific word or phrase on any of your browser tabs without having to search each tab separately.

โจ KEYBOARD SHORTCUT SETUP FOR CTRL-F PLUS:
1. Install "Ctrl-F Plus" in Chrome.
2. Pin the extension:
- Click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions) in Chrome's top-right.
- Locate "Ctrl-F Plus" and click its pin icon.
3. Right-click the "Ctrl-F Plus" icon and select "Set Keyboard Shortcut".
4. Find "Ctrl-F Plus" in the list.
5. Set the activation shortcut:
- Windows, Linux, ChromeOS: `Ctrl` + `Shift` + `F`.
- Mac: `โ` + `Shift` + `F` (or `Command` + `Shift` + `F`).
6. Close the window, and you're ready! Use the shortcut for multi-tab searches anytime.

- (2024-12-27) Luke: This extension only searches the current tab I am on. It does not search across all open tabs. Even the black search bar says, "search page" on it, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Potentially a conflicting Extension? Who knows. There's no troubleshooting or error messages.

- (2024-08-08) Shubham Girhepunje: Ctrl-F Plus is a useful tool for searching across multiple tabs, but it has some issues. The tab serial numbers are often inaccurate, and it doesnโt always scroll to the searched keyword. As someone who works with Amazon product pages across many tabs, adding support for Amazon would be very helpful. With these improvements, Ctrl-F Plus could be a powerful extension.
- (2024-06-13) Varun Giritharan: Very useful extension for any type of research! My only quarrel is that the highlighter showing the location of the word does not move if multiple of the same word are present in the frame. I also am unsure how it cycles through the tabs but it seems to not be in the order of tabs from left to right.

Thank you for making it :) -It would be really great if in the future it also worked on pdf's that are opened in chrome -mind that if you have a tab group, and its closed, the extension will not open! it even wont work on the 'open' tabs. Its not a problem but it took me some time to figure out. just make sure all your groups are open (or in a different window) and the extension will function

- (2024-03-21) luner juice: Okay this is impressive. Being able to Ctrl+F simultaniosly across a plethera of tabs is EXTREMELY useful. Especially when trying to find a very specific piece of information across multiple tabs ie: names, tittles, phrases etc. Plus I can move the search box around so it's not blocking small bits of information.
- (2024-02-20) Matthew Mahoney: This is something I've wanted for a long time and it works pretty great when it works, the problem is it seems to be kind of glitchy or freeze up kind of often, but this could just be the number of tabs I have open.
- (2024-02-11) Michael Medlin: It will always direct me to the tab where if finds the keyword I search for which is helpful. But it only sometimes actually scrolls down to the found keyword. On search, it will go to the tab where the keyword is found but then I will actually have to manually scroll through the page to find the highlighted word. Not sure what the issue is but it does work correctly sometimes. Would give 5 stars if this gets fixed
