- (2016-01-06) Graham Wickens: Like this app its fairly straight forward to use although I would like it to be able to use the current balance figure from my banks download rather then my having to amend it after every import. I expect the foecasting functionality to be very useful once i've built up a number of months of history. Category management is a little limited in the free version and the paid version is WAY TOO expensive.

- (2015-02-27) Varun Chendrimada: After Xero shutdown their personal finance manager i moved all my account to pocketsmith. The service is great! even the support is brilliant! They usually get back to you within a few hours. The knowledge base very helpful. Best software that is out there as far as i know!! They are constantly adding new features and the software has taken great shape over the years.
- (2014-11-05) Hanjo Smith: I have recently had the need to speak to a 'real'person with an issue I had with my PocketSmith account. The service was 9.8 out of 10 (can one ever give 10??). Very prompt response to my initial email (within 15 mins), very helpful suggesting a solution, no dramas, no problems, very understanding - what the heck; 10 out of 10!! This is a breath of fresh air in these days of "send us an email and we'll get back to you" .... LUV ya work PocketSmith.
- (2014-09-11) Freedom of Speech: Exactly what I was looking for. I suck at tracking my spending and this makes it easy.
- (2014-07-04) Larry Hatch: Best software program I've found in 2 years; and I look at a hundred or more a year. I went to an "all cash" budget (no credit cards) some years back and always had enough money in theory. My cashflow was the issue because so many of my bills were front-loaded at the beginning of each month. PocketSmith tells me when crunch/crash points are coming. It shows me when to 1) move money from savings to checking/paycheck, 2) budget is too tight and to cut back, or 3) move a payment a few days to cover other bills. If anyone is battling money trouble or doing a Dave Ramsey style cash budget, this is a miraculous tool. Forecasting months out (but you must estimate all your future bills)is awesome. Absolutely life changing for me.
- (2014-06-28) Carlos Cedeño: Not friendly. Very complicated.
- (2014-04-23) Heather McConnell: To have live feed from a bank account you have to pay. Also unable to find a easy way to make and track a goal like the photo suggested.
- (2014-03-28) Kristina Tustin: I wasn't able to get a free trail and I wasn't going to pay for something if I didn't know if I was going to like it or not, what might be functional for some may not be for me. I was not impressed overall.
- (2014-01-08) Igor Os: Very poor Web interface design: tiny fonts, low-contrast color scheme, a number of other glitches. Signed up for their "Super" account for twenty bucks a month and cancelled it withing half hour. Very disappointing.
- (2013-11-03) Jack Watts: transfered from mint, love the setup of pocketsmith, especially the calendar part! I definitely think it is worth the money! was having some initial connection problems to my bank accounts, i emailed them and they got back to me within 12 hours. their advice was both informative and simple and kinda wanted to give the person a hug after writing such a beautifully worded email back to me. (Mindy, your awesome, and so it pocketsmith!)
- (2013-05-20) Fluxy Flux: another thing you have to pay for it.
- (2013-03-13) sophie martin: IT is only useful for the USA. Is not compatible with Australian banking requirements
- (2013-03-03) This is a pathetic application, with tons of bugs. And they expect you to pay for it when apps like mint are free.
- (2013-03-03) Omar Cuevas: i really enjoy this app, i was doing the same thing but in paper now that is virtual is so much better!
- (2013-01-02) Peter Adrian: I could only post 12 events on the calendar before it started shaking me down for $10 per month. No thanks.
- (2012-11-14) dod smith: pay to track my money....hmmmmm
- (2012-09-04) Deanna Everson: switched from Mint just yesterday and will never look back. I will be more than happy to pay the 10 bucks a month for this app instead of free mint, because it works better, i can forecast future budgets, and the customer service is more prompt and accommodating than any service i've had in recent memory. Make the change. I do NOT regret it.
- (2012-08-19) Joan Nuñez: Yes, finally a tool to follow my personal movements and track where i'm expending the most. Of course, still some things to learn about the tool. But was very easy to start.
- (2012-07-30) Amonde Pace: Amazing, love this app, has everything I was looking for being a young college student looking for a quick easy way to help manage funds. Just a great app, very pleased.
- (2012-07-25) David Matsumoto: Pocketsmith is a perfect fit for what I need -- something (1) online that (2) has a cash flow calendar. I just switched from Quicken. I've run into a few questions and bugs, but they are super responsive, and all the issues were addressed within 12 hours. I also have tried Mint and QuickBooks Online, but they lack the cash flow calendar and aren't as user-friendly. I'm still on a one-month trial, but I fully intend to start paying for it when my trial ends.
- (2012-07-07) Chris Moran: I have been a paying customer for almost 3 months now, and It is a fantastic app and website. I have tried mint but I don't needed a "budget" program. The nice thing is projecting into the future. Also you get to see on paper in calender form how much money you have.
- (2012-07-07) Mindy Wigglesworth: A good looking application that's easy to use! I've never been very good at personal finance monitoring but PocketSmith helps me keep track of my spending as well as encouraging me to plan for the future through categories and event forecasting. I love that I can customise my calenders and categories to suit my own spending patterns. PocketSmith actually makes personal finance management enjoyable!
- (2012-07-06) Calvin Shi: Ridiculous that putting more than 8 "events" (which for me are just item purchases) would require a subscription. Should allow unlimited one time entries, while limiting the number of recurring entries, since the forecast is really the only thing that's useful here
- (2012-05-28) Joshua Cochran: VERY glad I found this tool. I wanted something that was easy to use and would give me an idea of what my financial future would look like. PocketSmith does just that in a very visually appealing package. I've used great software for budgeting before, but all failed miserably with regards to forecasting. PocketSmith has done a fantastic job of letting me quickly and easily see where my financial patterns will lead and is super easy to modify and flexible depending on different situations. I also found the team to be very responsive when I had a question about how to accomplish a particular task. I have and will absolutely recommend PocketSmith to others.
- (2012-04-23) Serriah Toste: Been looking for an app like this for forever. I absolutely LOVE it
- (2012-01-28) KuanWei Chen: Loved it.
- (2012-01-12) Daniel Voogsgerd: Looks amazin'
- (2012-01-09) Pocketsmith is great for keeping track of your finances on both a long and short timeframe. The key difference is that Pocketsmith looks and acts more like a calendar than a spreadsheet, so you can put in when you get paid and set it up to recur, then enter bills/expenses and recur them. The end result is a plan that forecasts your balances/finances between 6 months and 30 years into the future (depending on your plan, the free plan is 6 months). When you add an event (income/expense) you can put it on your "forecast" calendar or your "transaction" calendar, which then gets measured against each other, so you can enter what you want to spend on your forecast calendar, then what you actually spent on your transaction calendar, to see how well you're sticking to your budget (depending on your bank it can even automatically enter your transactions for you!). I use it as my one true source of balances, where I look in Pocketsmith whether I can afford to buy things, because I know it takes into account all the payment I have to make, vs my bank account that only shows what has already happened. Pocketsmith helped me become debt free, I couldn't live without it!
- (2012-01-06) Zach Burns: I was off track with finances until PocketSmith came along. I rely heavily on it for all my financial decisions - big and small. In the rare event that you need to contact them for support, they are quick to respond and more than happy to help. Now having PocketSmith as a chrome app makes it that much more convenient. I can't recommend this concept and especially the product high enough. I have a paid account and it's worth every penny.
- (2012-01-06) Trevor Beard: I have been using PocketSmith for some time now and have found it a very handy tool for budgeting. The ability to forecast your future finances and also analyse your past spending is brilliant. Great support and the latest version has made the site more user friendly. Time for a native Ipad app version maybe ? :)
- (2012-01-06) Zac Kapolka: I've been a paying customer for over a year, and PocketSmith is worth every penny. This is the best app for long-term financial forecasting.
- (2012-01-05) Taras Kharuk: Best support ever :)
- (2012-01-05) Jayson Hoogeveen: Really enjoy using PocketSmith for budgeting. The ability to use a calendar to forecast payments allows me to visualise and plan my finances better then any other service I have tried or the numerous spreadsheets I have created over the years.
- (2012-01-05) Sean Bennett: I transitioned from Mint to PocketSmith, and I never looked back. It is so much more useful for the calendar and for forecasting. :D
- (2011-12-20) nathan richter: actually it's just the merger and acquisition statement in the privacy policy that bothers me. not too sure about their best efforts lol.
- (2011-12-18) Jeremy Martin: The free program is limited to 8 user created accounts. The best part is the forecasting. I can see what I will have in the bank in 6 months. Nice.
- (2011-12-17) Zen Lane: I absolutely love the concept. The free account is far more limited than I believed it to be originally. 8 events is not a lot when you have two incomes (taking it down to 6) and then monthly bills for a family of 4. $9.95/mo is a bit much to pay for a program that does what I have been doing myself (with unlimited space) for free. As far as layout and design of the program itself, it works real nice.
- (2011-12-10) Stuart Connall: The program has a nice interface but as soon as I clicked the "Recalculate Balances" the application went off and didn't come back with a message "Reloading Forecast"...been 20 minutes so far and I only have 8 events and just added a 9th to force the recalculate. Update: When I tried to go back and update what I added for income events...I couldn't. Actually, they appear on the calendar but not on the list of income events. It's blank. The expenses show though. I lowered this to two stars as it has a lot of usability issues and bugs. Nice idea with a great look, but it doesn't work very well.
