Puts Flash back on the web where it belongs.
Designed to be easy to use, by using this extension flash content will "just work", with no extra configuration required. Ruffle will detect all existing Flash content on a website and automatically "polyfill" it into a Ruffle player, allowing seamless and transparent upgrading of websites that still rely on Flash content.
If websites also have Ruffle installed, this extension will upgrade it to the latest version if needed. By installing this extension, you get access to the latest fixes and optimisations even on websites that already include an older copy of Ruffle, whilst also providing you with some extra options.
Ruffle is a Flash Player emulator written in Rust. Ruffle runs on all modern browsers through the use of WebAssembly. Leveraging the safety of the modern browser sandbox and the memory safety guarantees of Rust, we can confidently avoid all the security pitfalls that Flash had a reputation for.
Ruffle is an entirely open source project maintained by volunteers. We're all passionate about the preservation of internet history, and we were drawn to working on this project to help preserve the many websites and plethora of content that will no longer be accessible when users can no longer run the official Flash Player. If you would like to help support this project, we welcome all contributions of any kind - even if it's just playing some old games, seeing how well they run, and letting us know any issues you find!

Even after completely removing it, a banner constantly pops up says "Today 29-07-2025 you use ruffle!" that can not be removed Install at your own risk, this is a very likely trojan extension. Already reported to Google but I don't think they will do anything about this. Take this as a warning.

- very good flash game/animations player...but for some weird reason recently EVERY SINGLE ONE of the games i try to play,dont play at at all. it says something about the WASM files...but before this started happening,the games worked perfectly with no errors at all,and none of the game files were corrupted.

- Well it does work, i can see the flash games, but its very slow and laggy to where some games are unplayable, glad to get nostalgia but wish it was smoother, flash is hard to replicate and i get it!

- tried using this emulator for the transformice dressroom and i cant copy and paste color hex codes soooooo thats the downside im currently dealing with but it's a decent emulator

- Had the same issue with websites not loading while Ruffle was installed. Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the extension and everything works now!

- as of today it started breaking nearly all websites loading, for some reason blocking all CSS JS etc. resources.

- Heads up!! last night and this morning i was having trouble getting nearly any sites to load! After a troubleshooting for ages, it seems like ruffle is causing things to load improperly. I'm having to keep the extension disabled for the moment, hope this gets fixed soon! I only use ruffle on stuff like neopets, so it's not urgent, but I have no idea why it could be doing this!!

- Perfect. Allows downloading ShockWave Flash (.SWF) games DRM-free from websites, plays them in websites that do not have a flash player, adjusts volume and high quality, fullscreen with F11 and Esc, zooms in and out and saves preferences!

- This is incredible, but it does have some problems in a few games. A lot of them lag, and some have unique issues. In Epic Battle Fantasy 4, the Big Mud Slime enemy does not spawn properly, instead rapidly switching between its different variations when it enters a battle. This occurs directly before collecting a key item, which results in a softlock. In Portal: The Flash Version, the browser freezes for a few minutes when you hit ceilings with low gravity. In Portal 2D, Hard Light Bridges don't pass through angled portals properly, resulting in a softlock very early on. In Fancy Pants Adventures, if you receive a game over and attempt to enter any level, the entire level fails to load properly and you simply end up in a falling deathloop.

- Ruffle is a great way to access old flash websites in the modern day. It won't work for everything, and I've had issues with certain sites and features, but overall it's definitely worth installing. Looking forward to seeing this emulator improve in the future.
