Kaylee Hampton 2024-10-17: Hopefully once I start getting onto an actually compatible device everything will work better, but right now I am just frustrated. Because genie doesn’t work well with IOS I have tried everything. I have 3 browsers on my Ipad now, no files on the new computer I will need to use and hours down the drain. This would be lovely as an app. I just want to use the resources my team gave me and to run these things in round with reliable devices I can confidently work. PLEASE just get an app or work with other browsers to make your platform accessable on IOS. I used Orion and it at least opened the menu, it would not however run. Help us poor highschoolers who just want to give a decent speech, I didn’t sign up for the IT afterschool program…

Clinton Lowe 2018-08-20: I love this app! Used to have a major experience-ruining bug where it would freeze upon auto-filing, but Ethan Reeves responded very quickly and kindly to my issue, and now its working great! I love the Custom Sources and the features for Congress and Debate. I recommend this highly for any forensics afficionado.

V R 2017-12-06: I have used Extemp Genie for two years and love the product. I have encountered some problems in the past when the program became unstable before a big tournament, but Ethan is very quick at responding and resolving issues in less than an hour after I emailed him, making my overall experience with the product extremely satisfactory. I would highly recommend Extemp Genie for any Extemper who has a very small team that is unable to file easily.

Richard Hu 2017-11-11: Extemp Genie is an incredibly powerful resource for extemp and I'd probably go so far as to say it's the best extemp prep tool out there. It has a clean UI and great Search filters. I also love the new addition of practice questions. My one problem with it is that it is EXTREMELY unstable. Sometimes in round, my extemp genie will just crash while searching. Additionally, the first search upon opening the extension takes a good 10~ minutes so I would recommend doing a search before round starts. Other than that, great extension! Keep it up!

Grady Lynn 2017-06-04: Great for passionate and lazy extempers alike (myself being in the latter category). It took the burden of finding all the articles I would need off of a small club extemper like myself and allowed me to have enjoyable and low-stress extemp tournaments.

Lorraine Smit 2016-05-26: This is a super valuable tool if you're doing extemp. I only did extemp for a few tournaments, and it saved my life for most of my speeches. Sometimes it glitches in downloading so absolutely don't wait till the night before the tournament.
