Description from store
Keep track of all your old extensions, as well as current and past states of the extensions still installed. "Extension log" logs when an extension is installed, uninstalled, upgraded, enabled or disabled.
View all these informations in a table sorted by name, state (enabled, disabled, uninstalled), extension type, or id. With a list of events associated with each extension ever installed (as long as "Extension log" is always enabled).
Aside from its main purpose, "Extension log" records a log of the date and version of every chrome update.
You can save the whole log history, in case of crash. Right click the extension icon and select "Export log" (save the whole page or one of the textareas). No restore function available yet, but you can access the stored values manually from the background page's javascript console (and update from there if necessary).
EL allows you to save extensions packages in its original format or as a zip file.
2018-12-31: (0.5.6)
Badge used to warn user when an event occurs: now fully functional.
You can now import options, and chrome version history from a backup. Import of events is still in beta.
2018-09-12: (0.5)
Extension packages can be saved as CRX and/or ZIP files.
The list of current permissions for all extensions is displayed in the tooltip of their version number.
2018-09-04: (0.4.11)
Added support to download CRX packages.
2018-08-22: (0.4.10.1)

2018-07: (0.4.9.8)

- (2025-03-08) Nathan Ludwig: This needs an update to support the new Manifest V3, which has been a thing for a while. I will still leave at least two stars for the initial usefulness.. currently whenever you view the extension's log page you will now see "eiljhbjamiikjjldhnepillceohglbjh is blocked" and you cannot proceed. This is because Google Chrome has taken notice of the lack of updates and it is no longer considered compatible based on their latest criteria. The only way I know around this issue is to run an outdated version of Google Chrome that is otherwise still compatible with the extension, and you can bet not many users will want to do that. EDIT: If you are looking for similar functionality, go support this project instead which I located after a brief search. It will serve to replace these features and is currently up to date... - (2024-06-02) Extra Virgi: This extension is essential for managing a large number of installed extensions. Its simplicity and clear overview make it easy to use, and its lightweight design is a big plus. I highly recommend it! Feature request: With Manifest V2 being deprecated soon, this extension might stop working. Any chance it will be updated to support Manifest V3? It would be greatly appreciated!

- (2019-07-20) Steph: I love this extension and it has become quite a necessity for me. It broke down a while ago so I stopped using it but couldn't find a replacement. Once an extension starts to not work, I tend to discard it and move on especially if the dev isn't active. This was one of very very few extensions that I missed once it stopped working and I've ended up removing and reinstalling several times before I decided to try contacting the dev in hopes he could help me to get it working. Let me just say, within less than a day of emailing him the log data, he had it working again. 5 stars for an awesome and useful extension and a million stars for great support and care.
