How it Works
When you use the IPVanish Secure Browser extension, IPVanish opens a virtual browser window specifically for you in the cloud. Then, you’ll access this virtual browser via an interactive video feed from your standard Chrome browser. Whatever you type, click, scroll, and copy/paste on your device will be replicated to the browser in the IPVanish cloud.
Because your searches and clicks are replicated remotely, no activity occurs on your device. This shields your device from all threats, including malicious links, malware, tracking, and more. Additionally, no browsing history, cookies, or site data will be stored on your device when Secure Browser runs. This is similar to Incognito Mode, but IPVanish Secure Browser goes further. Unlike Incognito Mode, third parties can’t see which websites you visit, advertisers can’t track your IP address or device information through fingerprinting, and malware can’t be downloaded onto your device.
