- (2017-12-03) Currently exploring alternatives to Act! CRM and Dolibarr seems to me that it fits the bill for most small to medium sized companies. I have used a large number of crm / invoice generation programs and Dolibarr is great for people who want to get started on a budget. If you require simple template generation, mail merge or e-marketing this is not the right software for that. However, if you do require inventory management, simple invoice generation (where you don't need to change the layout) and contact management this is a definite fit for you. The above things are some of the things it does best. Invoice template is basic but functional - in any case most companies I've worked for had the same layout so nothing fancy but not ugly looking either. The module functionality is pretty neat and it allows you to make the software be as simple or complicated as you need it to be. Cloud functionality is also useful though given the name backing up the service I think it's best if you host on your own server. If you don't want to do that the service is definitely price competitive. HR module is also very useful and in general 85% of most medium sized companies will be happy with this software. If i were to compare it to act! one of the functionalities we do miss it creating our own layout but this is hardly a complaint given you receive and ERP/CRM suite bundled as one software. As an application's engineer having worked in the ERP industry that says a lot. High praise for the devs. I am in the process of starting my own company and have been testing this software rigorously. So far I am very happy with the core functionality. You can of course pay for software that costs a lot more but what you get here (especially for free) is definitely much more than most medium sized companies would need.

- (2013-01-14) Ron Robertson: This is a paid app after 14 day trial. This marketing tactic of "free" is misleading and there is no real way to know until you sign up. This is a waste of everyone's time. This is open sourced software being sold. Save your breath and time. Now I have to try to get them to delete my account and trust them to not misuse my private information. Google should stop this.
