- Worked fine shortly after I installed the extension, but first time I reopened my browser after closing it, it no longer works. Says I need to install an Avast antivirus for it work even though I already have one installed.

- Avast passwords is not working anymore since theier last update. The extension in the browser can´t be unlocked anymore. To automatically fullfill passwords, I have to unlock the master password in the AVAST software. Please fix this issue
- Alexander Ndungu
- Very good password manager except for a few issues. I noticed that when it's locked, it fills in old or previous passwords even though I changed them. I would also prefer if it didn't fill in passwords until the master password is entered. Also doesn't unlock since the Avast antivirus update.

- They locked this down all of a sudden with zero warning! All of my passwords i've used for years are inaccessible and they will not answer me no matter how I try and contact them! Do not use @avast products!
- Paul Sherburn
- Used to be great, now it's not working (since the recent redesign of Avast). Please fix Avast!

- The extension was once for free. And avast is forcing us to pay for a dumb extension

- The extension works perfectly on my windows computer, however on my chromebook the extension can't operate. Now I need to open the password app every time and then copy/paste the logins. Would be very nice if the extension could also work with the password app!

- What a piece of junk. When it works, it works amazing. Keyword being "when," since it seems to only work when it wants to. As of now, for me it seems to refuse working at all. I've tried to reinstall it multiples times and repair it, but nothing works. Honestly no point in even having this extension if it's not even going to do what it's supposed to. This needs to be fixed pronto, as I can see from other reviews I'm not the only one frustrated and disappointed in this.

- This extensions is awesome... when it works, which is like 50% of the time. The other times it's off for some stupid, inexplicable reason and you have to restart the desktop app for it to work again. Why do you guys do this to us? Why do you make us go through the hassle of restarting the desktop app every.. single.. day!! It's so annoying! At least once a day, I have to close the desktop app and restart it so the browser extension can work again. I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for this VERY inconvenient, time-wasting hassle.

- this is a must have

- I never downloaded this extension before this and it would pop up every day telling me to download this stupid extension. It's literally bloatware.
- Kelly M Woodcox
- Avast is tricky and greedy... the software is good... but make sure you pay attention to how they are going to charge you and on what is and is not included in packages. I upgraded while in trial mode and ended up getting charged for the trials afterwards and I had thought the upgrade took care of everything. They dismissed it by saying they wouldn't charge the me the following "YEAR"... Like that really helped me. Make sure you know what you are getting when you buy a package because I thought I bought the highest level package and that everything was included - however that wasn't the case, because the free trials charged me anyway... So make sure you cancel any free trials you are not going to use.

- I have used it since I installed it and to date have not experienced any issues and I am using Chrome.

- When it works it is great, but something causes it to stop working. I suspect it is Advanced System Care II!!!!
- Jim Coleman
- Avast set incomprehensible passwords which you'll never remember. The entire Avast system is, in my opinion, designed to rip you off. This extension does not work on my machine which doesn't surprise me.
- Trudy Conway
- Lots of annoying Avast popups that tease with info only to be for paid service. I have a paid Avast basic. Also you can't go in and check passwords - or at least I haven't figured out how to. I might get rid of Avast and look for something else.
- Russell
- It won't stop popping up and bothering me when I am trying to work. I can't stand the pop ups. Because of all of their bloatware that bogs down my system I am starting to really dislike using avast. I liked it in the past when you could just have it run silently in the background without screwing around with every facet of the computer.

- Avast password extension is installed on google chrome and I have it on my computer too. But it does not work on google chrome.. it asks me to reinitialise the extension, but no way to find where i can do it, or how to remove de extension :(

- I put the Avast Passwords on my computer but forgot my password and don't know how to get it up so I can change the password to an easier to remember one.
- W IsRael
- After Windows 10 update apparently corrupted the extension, I was able to have it repaired. It works great now and I've never had any previous issues with it. The only question I have is, why can't I find Avast Passwords when I look for it in this web store?

- Like the others have said, this is one buggy extension. Avast Passwords is EXTREMELY slow (especially when you manually search for passwords in your database) and, as the others have experienced, it just randomly stops working all of a sudden, requiring you to uninstall and reinstall the extension. It is very frustrating. I keep using it only because I feel like it should be safer and more secure than other password managers. We've all read the news about how LastPass and others have gotten hacked in the past. This one, at least, is developed by Avast. But it is also very clear that Avast's strength is in antivirus software, not password management apps. This extension would be better used as a cold-storage password vault, not as a frequently-used password manager. Whatever are its internal issues, it's just too slow and too glitchy for extended everyday use. It's no surprise that if you do a web search, you find almost no reviews for Avast Passwords. It is never in any publications' "Top 10" password managers list. And still I give it 2 stars -- both for security, 0 stars for actual usefulness.

- It was working great with no issues at first. Now I click on it and nothing happens. After trying several times I get a message saying "The password vault is locked" with no solutions on how to unlock it. Wasting my whole morning trying to figure this out.

- after using it for over 12 months, there was an "error", recommended to uninstall and re install the password software. So I did. Now after getting it back onto Chrome, it wants to "the extension is not activated.please activate it first" before its useable??? where is this. Ive looked internally & on website... nothing... all my passwords locked away for nothing??? Internally the passwords are working inside the software, logged in ok, but the browser icon is faulty and fainted :( very disappointed now with avast. and agree with some of the comments below, after using avast for years... its got too messy now :(

- Need to reinstall the chrome extension at least 3 times a week because it will not work on startup.
- Heikki SK Saarinen
- Lame. Used to work, not so much any more. Avast products have been no-nonsense but sadly they seem to be turning into junkware.
- Đức Võ Ngọc
- I am satisfied about the security of it, however, it did slow my Chrome browser when browsing Facebook for about 5 minutes.
- Πέτρος Ζ
- I am hating it because i can't get it to work. A real solution to this hasn't been around for some time now and this is really annoying.

- Worked good at first , now I have to put in main password several times a day. Now it is telling me to re-install the extension, which I am not sure how to.

- The extension is shown in Russian, which is originally and should be in my native language but the extension itself changes the language setting for me. I have checked my language setting of avast (the main programme) which is in my native language, so can somebody tells me what can I do to change back the language setting of the extension?
