Search across ALL Shopify theme files in one search. Searches Layout files, Templates, Snippets, Assets, Config and Locales!
When a file is found containing text from the search it becomes highlighted. You can continue to search all files, or at that point pause the search and navigate to the file.
If you work with Shopify themes all day, like we do, this is a GREAT tool to find all instances of a certain element, or any string of text. For example, maybe you need to find all instances of "product.price". It could be in collection pages, search, products, or dozens of other pages. Now you can find them all a few seconds :-)

FYI for all those wondering - I reached out to Bold Support to ask about the extension no longer working and they replied that it was now an "internal tool" and would not be working again. I loved this tool so if anyone knows of a similar way to replace this functionality please let me know! " The latest version of Chrome extension tool is now being used only by the internal team within the organization and it is strictly available only to the employees at Bold for their use. I am afraid the version that you have was initially released for external use but since then the versions which followed was only to be used by internal employees for here at Bold. I did have a word about this with my team expert and even they confirmed that the version of Chrome extension tool that you have been using is an initial version/one of the first versions to roll out which was made public but it has now been eclipsed/rendered obsolete. Once again I do apologize for not having an ideal response to your query and I wish I could provide you with some positives news on this front."

No longer working. I am still giving it a 4 star review as it was a fantastic free tool beofre it stopped working. Anyone know of a similar tool? It has grown essential to my workflow at this point.

Really liked this app, but the app has stopped working on Shopify themes. The app no longer functions in either Chrome nor Brave browsers. 4/22/2022.

Has bugs here and there, sometimes work sometimes doesn't. Have used Expertrec Smart search bar for Shopify store https://apps.shopify.com/expertrec-smart-search-bar IMO it is much better in terms of minimal design and variety of customization.
Can work well at times, but has a couple key issues. First, it can get stuck loading while searching through your files. It can get stuck at 99%, 76%, etc. If it never finished, it's not rly useful at all, since you can't search through your files. If it does finish searching, then it is quite useful. It also only has to finish searching once per session, since it saves the code in memory for future searches. Second, when searching, it actively searches before you're done typing. If I were to search "complete", it would search for "comp", "compl", etc as I continue typing. It will show you the number of appearances on the side (it finds "comp" 7 times, for example), then that number whittles down as you get closer to full search. HOWEVER - when you hit full search, and there are zero examples, that number does not turn to zero - it stays at the last above-zero number it had. This can be quite confusing, since you don't see any instances of your search term, but it stays there are 5 in your code. They should definitely patch this when they get a chance, as it took me a bit to figure out what was going on

I don't know how to rate it, as Im still struggling to get it to work. Its installed but greyed out, and I don't get any search filed when I click on the extension while Im editing code. Ive separately sent a email too requesting support

I added this extension a little bit ago, but was hesitant based on a few reviews. I'm sure glad I did because it works fantastic and has helped me a lot with a very big project involving a complicated theme upgrade. Life- and timesaver. Thank you!
