Dark Mode en Dark Reader zetten alle websites die je bezoekt in de donkere/nachtmodus, zodat je op internet kunt surfen zonder je ogen te belasten. Het is een uiterst nuttige Chrome-extensie voor mensen die vooral 's nachts internetten.
De Dark Theme-extensie. Werkt met alle websites!
Je moet alle tabbladen vernieuwen die geopend zijn VOORDAT de Dark Reader is geïnstalleerd. Je kunt Chrome ook opnieuw opstarten om alle tabbladen in één keer te vernieuwen. Anders werken de Dark Mode en Night Shift-modus alleen met de nieuw geopende tabbladen.
Als de website een ingebouwd nachtthema heeft, kun je dit rechtstreeks vanuit de extensie regelen en als het Gmail, Google Docs, Office Online, GitHub en miljoenen anderen niet leuk vindt, converteren we de kleuren om je een vloeiende overgang in de donkere modus te bieden.
Wat krijg je van de Dark Reader-extensie:
1. Een eenvoudige manier om de donkere modus op elke website te maken. Daarnaast kun je je zwarte thema visueel aanpassen van Helderheid, Contrast tot Verzadiging.
2. Een Night Shift-modus die de kleur van de website warmer maakt, waardoor het veel prettiger is om naar te kijken.
Je kunt kiezen voor een donker thema of een night shift-modus, of beide. Je kunt deze modi ook snel activeren met eenvoudige sneltoetsen.
3. Je kunt een schema instellen voor elk donker thema en elke night shift-modus, en bepalen wanneer je het donkere thema automatisch wilt activeren.
Ook de Dark for YouTube-extensie converteert het YouTube-thema naar een zeer aanpasbaar donker houtskool/blauw thema. Deze extensie is gebouwd op het standaard YouTube-thema, dus het is erg lichtgewicht vergeleken met het gebruik van thema's die zijn geïnjecteerd door stijlvolle of stylus-extensies
Let op: vergeet niet om vergelijkbare Night Theme-extensies uit te schakelen om compatibiliteitsproblemen te voorkomen!

- This extension works as intended and, in my opinion, is the leader of dark mode extensions on Chrome. My only critique is that it doesn't have image recognition to keep images from being inverted. Would be nice to have that feature so I can study images in PowerPoints without having to turn the extension on and off.

- Works incredibly. Instead of using whitelist or blacklist I recommend using the general extension settings (not the settings inside the extension) to grant it access to only the sites you want dark mode on. That way it can't see all your browsing, and by default sites with their own dark mode will Just Work :D It'd be nice if the extension had a setting to only enable on sites that don't have a built in dark mode. I've seen that in other extensions. Great work though!

- Most apps have native dark mode, there is no option that asks me if I want to use the native version instead. every time I open a native dark website, this extension works opposite and completely blinds me with white version of the app. Please add a popup message that allows me to choose to use the original theme. It is irritating to manually open the extension and turning off the whitewashed website.

- Most solid extension that I have used for dark mode so far, BUT it only allows you whitelist or blacklist 5 sites before the extensions' own settings get blocked by a button to rate the extension. So, four-stars until this is fixed.

- Works great with my work. I mostly like the fact that it finely outlines images and gives them a glow appearance which makes it easier to view as it is important in my line of work, compared to the white background that can hurt to look at the image directly for longer an a minute.
