Extension for the AdGuard desktop app. Manages filtering right from the browser, hides annoying elements in two clicks.
IMPORTANT: This extension requires AdGuard desktop app to function! Install AdGuard desktop app (for Mac or Windows) first and then use this extension to expand the app's capabilities.
What can it do?
🚦 Manage filtering on the website
It's easy to whitelist a website. Switch off (or back on) ad blocking for any website right in the Assistant's main menu.
âś‚ Block any annoying element manually
Say, you’ve seen an element (whether it be a text, picture, video, banner, or else) you dislike. You can easily select and delete it.
đź—‘ Delete all user rules related to a web page
While you block various elements you dislike — user filters are created. This functionality helps remove all changes by one click in case you want to go back to the way things were.
🚨 Report site (if an ad snuck in by accident)
Browsing, you were suddenly distracted by a sneaky ad? Report it immediately and it won’t stand a chance.
âś… Easy access to the AdGuard desktop app
Now it’s much easier to open settings or watch filtering log applicable to the web page you’re on — you don’t have to open the desktop app for these needs.

- This extension is designed to be used alongside the AdGuard desktop app. If you don't have the desktop app installed, use the standalone AdGuard AdBlocker extension instead. This setup works beautifully because it lets me manage the AdGuard Browser Assistant across all my browsers from a single, central desktop location. Since I run multiple browsers on one computer, this approach is much more convenient and effective than relying on the standalone browser extensions.

- Very Good Customer Service from AdGuard -any minor issues always dealt with! Excellent Ad protection for computer novices!

- Very useful ; of course it has to be used in combination with Ad Guard Desktop, it works very well ; I highly recommend it ! Make sure you don't have other Ad Blockers in your browser because it can make conflicts and it will slow down everything.

- Can't live without it, on PC or on my phone. I personally love the fact that you can manually block ads - which means you can ALSO block certain websites without the need for a pesky separate app that will see things like your banking details or your personal messages. I blocked ALL social media sites and all NSFW pages online. My mental health has improved A LOT! I'm also able to stream on sites with questionable ads without getting a single popup. Thank you, AdGuard. ♥

- I can't get this application to work on my phone. Support for AdGuard is not helping. I purchased Adguard one week ago. This morning I got a notice that my "trial," is over. What trial? I PAID for a lifetime subscription. Website says it takes 24 hours for support to reply. It's been 48 hours. In addition, when it was working for the last seven days it slowed my computer down to snail speed. If the folks at AdGuard don't get their act together, I will be asking for a refund.

- Works extremely well once you set it up to block all ads. Problem is it causes a ton of random BSODs when you randomly go to youtube. For that I give it 3 starts. Once the NETIO.SYS BSOD error gets fixed I will give it five stars.

- It doesn't block selected ads efficiently. The moment I refresh a page the ads are back.

- Works very well and is customizable so you can disable protection on sites where the extension interferes with the site but leave it work everywhere else.

- Does not work. Just as much ads as before. Useless and slows down my browser.

- I am really not sure about this product. I have not noticed a massive drop in Ads. Also, it does not seem to work on some of the main apps that one might think of. Yesterday, it successfully blocked a site and today it does not. Odd.

- I installed the new updated Chrome extension of Adguard, however, now I show both Adguard extensions. I have versions 4.4.18 and 1.4.1 and now Chrome says AdGuard AdBlocker may soon no longer be supported Remove or replace them with similar extensions from the Chrome Web Store?

- I'm on Premium but Adguard blocks too much and many websites are inoperable. There's no good way to fine tune it either; you can just turn it off or turn it on per website.
- V. Vu
- Have been using it for a while (with premium account), most of the time it does its job well. Sometimes some website's features seem to not work when its turned on. So have to disable the protection sometimes. Which is fine.

- Works, just not correctly. Blocks the ad but does not block the sounds from the ad / Ad just plays over content.

- Best all-in-one unified solution ever!

- Works great, have changed the pleasure surfing the web for me. I bought a lifetime license when it was on sale, and the small price is very well worth it in my opinion. Especially nice to use on the phone, removes most ads for my whole Android and Windows eco systems. If you use internet on a daily basis, I highly recommend AdGuard. 5/5+!

- What was once a 5-star software is now nowhere near it. For a number of months now the app is getting slower and slower, meaning webpages take far too long loading on my 300Mbps full fibre internet. I could be waiting for 20+ seconds before some pages open, and then disabling the protection the pages load in lightening fast speed again. I followed the instructions from their support to make sure my AV or firewall was not causing issues but this didn't fix it.

- Adguard can be installed on your PC and on mobile devices. When running Adguard as a program in windows it causes massive reductions in internet speeds--all traffic is filtered through AG and their networking is frankly terrible. It does a great job removing ads, but I had to uninstall it due to the negative impact on speed. The app for mobile devices I use and it does the job. However I could never recommend the product to anyone who needs high speed internet connections.

- So I initially wrote a 5 star review because I thought "wow, great piece of freeware", but then I got the "this is a trial" popup which was disappointing. I'm only going to lower my rating slightly because I felt poorly informed regarding the nature of the software I had installed. AdGuard should really have been more forward about it. Luckily found personalDNSfilter (from Zenz) instead which isn't nagware or a trial - it just works.

- after a few months all ads return, adguard can't handle even youtube ads. I even paid for this garbage. back to free extensions.

- For anyone confused AdGuard offers two things. Free ad blocker browser extensions. And applications for Android, Windows, iOS, and Mac that block ads SYSTEM WIDE, not just in your browser. This extension is a companion to the AdGuard Window and Mac app. I've been using the Android AdGuard app for over a year and couldn't live without it now. I never see ads in ANY applications. Adguard (the application) became a MUST HAVE for me ever since I installed it on my Android phone (Galaxy S10+). Having a application that blocks ads SYSTEM WIDE is amazing. I never see ads in any apps ever. No banners, no video ads, nothing. In any apps weather they are free apps or paid apps. Just upgraded my old single user lifetime key to a family plan lifetime key that covers any 9 devices (Android, Windows, Mac, iOS) at a time for just $90. Well worth it. I couldn't stand to use my phone without the Adguard application now.
