Surprised me when GHOSTERY comes along & stops me, explaining that the site is spam or unsafe whatever. So i pushed to go back, exiting the attempt. Back in my emails, i was gonna add the email to McAfee's MCAFEE ALERT (something they sold me to eliminate spammers). Simply add move it to their file. AND IT AUTOMATICALLY BEGINS TAKING ME TO SOME SITE AGAIN, BUT GHOSTERY STOPS ME AGAIN, GHOSTERY. NOT MCAFEE, BUT GHOSTERY. McAfee is fraudulant. As popular as they are, they are frauding ppl. - I have tried every major ad blocker (including custom configuring NextDNS), and I always come back to Ghostery. What makes Ghostery great is that it only takes two clicks to exclude a website either permanently or for a defined period on a website that does not function correctly with an ad blocker: like a bank, financial services or home utilities website. Pair Ghostery with Consent-O-Matic and you can finally actually get work done on the web! By the way, Ghostery works great even with browsers with their own built-in ad blockers like Opera, Brave, and Vivaldi (all of which I use for specific features). If anyone from Ghostery reads this, PLEASE bring back Ghostery Private Search!!! DuckDuckGo is really good and I love the fact that I can customize settings and save them to the cloud, but my results were better with Ghostery Private Search.

- A nice team is behind the product is my observation as the product is a worth the use. Also, you can create a subscription model for making adds blocked over the web in a network by devising the existing piece of code to be useful in network.

- I've used many different ad blockers over the years, from Adblock Plus, Ublock, etc - Ghostery is so much better than anything I've used previously and rarely breaks websites. It's pretty much a set and forget.

A Ghostery-t főleg az automatikus süti kezelésre (elutasításra) használom. * ui.: ha gond adódna vele, akkor ID megnézése, Developer mode, Load unpacked a megfelelő \AppData\ ... mappából! Most nekem csak így működik Brave-en és van olyan akinek Opera-n nem működik: remélem javítjátok! 8)

- I've been using Ghostery for nearly 3 years. It's set & forget; it never bothers me. When I am curious, Ghostery's clear interface shows it has been quietly busy. It has never broken any link. There are two approaches to screening for advertisements, trackers (& even viruses, 'though Ghostery does not do this): - list based systems are fast & effective but depend upon their lists being up-to-date. They can miss new threats - heuristic systems (like Ghostery) look for suspicious activity. They risk false-positives but can detect new threats not yet listed. I use both. Ghostery is discreet & effective. Recommended.
