Twitch is a video streaming service specializing in computer games, including gameplay streaming and eSports tournaments. Videos on the Twitch platform can be watched both live and on demand. Twitch is owned by Twitch Interactive, an Amazon subsidiary. The service was created in 2011 by a separation from a similar service justin.tv, which has a broader topic, in order to delimit traffic and free up the main servers. In addition to computer games, Twitch hosts broadcasts and videos on other topics, such as musical performances or poker tournaments.
