Authy Chrome Extension

useful app, until they stopped supporting or updating it. Has been left for 2 years and now I have to use their standalone app which is less convenient. Still Authy is better than google authenticator

Great extension, unfortunately because of Google (as Authy team claimed) is this extension no longer supported. A this is sooooooooooooo bad: I'm using Authy on Android, Chrome on Windows and Chromium on Arch Linux. Ok, let's try AUR package authy-snap ... no, I don't want 190MB package of bloat. What about official way, install snapd first? No, I don't need 'go' and its 626MB of data ... sooooo ... FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

Removing the extension and re-installing it does not reset the extension. There is no way to reset the extension to redo setup. Something happened with the password getting scrambled and attempts to restore link on Chrome on PC failed.

now i click on the image in the extension and doesnt open at all

Unreliable sync with mobile devices. It doesn't sync the name and the icon sometimes. Also, it trimms account names so you can't know which account you should choose when a code is requested - and the window can't be resized.

Great addition to the mobile App. I would love to see the 'custom logo' option that is available in mobile to be extended to the Extension as it makes it *much* easier to differentiate 2FA entries when you have a large number.

I love Authy! It's great because it seems to be compatible with all of my online accounts, and it is available on my Android as well, so it can securely sync my data between my laptop and phone, allowing me to use it on both. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to use 2FA.

All it does is tell to install the chrome app instead of the addon. How will I install the app on Opera or Edge, stupid?

Tried the desktop, and the Android, and the Chrome extention, BUT, since I'm retiried and TRAVEL to a couple of ,different countries, per year, so I don't have a permanate phone number, nor can I use google voice number, or get a phone number from another country BEFORE I get to that counrty, I get shut out of my account(s), all of them as soon as I get into another country, and get another number. The old number does not work to get a verified SIMS sent to verify a change of number. So Locked out twice this year of all my accounts, and than.... a two to THREE weekse wait for a change of number IF... that goes thru, on a big "IF" they so desires???? So instead of being able to verify a NEW Number with a 5 to 10 worded PASS Phrase, that was generated ON the DEVICE, computer or phone, we have to use a PHONE NUMBER which is a whole lot easlly "CLOANED" than the 5 to 10 (or more) WORDED pass phrase, which is MORE SECURE, than any phone number. Explained all that to "support" and they sherked, Of course that would only take the TIME to copy and paste, rather than dragging it out to three WEEKS (or more.) HUH? So bye, bye Authy!

i love authy, this 2fa apps really makes life easier. The ability to sync between device is truly a life saver. Dont forget to enable multi device to add your device, and then disable it afterwards.

Extension doesn't work - some tokens aren't showing. The answer from the support: "First and foremost I would suggest using our Authy Desktop App and not the chrome extension (as the chrome extension has some faulty bugs)." What is a faulty extension doing in the Chrome web store? Especially when it is known to the developers that it is faulty!

They sold my data to telemarketers. I had a new phone number and NO ONE had that. All of a sudden, I enter my name and telephone info into their site and I get BOMBARDED with telemarketers for a week straight. I will NEVER EVER USE AUTHY AGAIN!!! F---

Only thing missing is a search box. This is essential for users who have many entries stored in Authy....

Definitely an app that has its place. However, would have liked a little bit more polish and more than anything the ability to search among my dozens tokens.

It's pretty awesome. I like it. Few things that I would like to have. 1) Dark Mode. 2) Quick search for tokens. I have 15+ 2FA tokens and quick search would be awesome. Or copy Android app UI (and add dark mode to that also :P) 3) Re sizable window.

I need help . I had the Authenticator on the bottom of my PC icon and now it is gone. How do i get it back up. So frustrated

This would be fantastic if the names of the accounts would display properly, as it stands they scroll off the right hand side of the page and its impossible to resize the app panel or the text size. Also would be useful to be able to order, group or tag various sets of accounts as it becomes very difficult to find accounts when you're dealing with tens of them.

The app got out of sync with my authy account on my android, and it doesn't appear to have any way to get back into sync. The corresponding windows app cannot be uninstalled and doesn't even show up in my list of programs. You can't even change the login. Switching back go google authenticator.

Not sure why people are jumping to give a single star - I gave up on Google Authenticator long ago when I was almost locked out of my Amazon developer account when my phone decided to reset itself. Please, please never go away or I'll be forced to go on to something else.

Do nada deixou de funciona e o Backup que era pra ser uma solução pra esses problemas e interligar com o Smartphone sempre que você remove e instala de novo a extensão ele abre milhões de senhas que você já tinha apagado a 200 anos atrás e nem usa mais.

Can't log out my Authy account from this extension. Removing the extension then re-installing DOESN'T remove your account details. How do I delete the account from this extension?!?!?

tried adding a new account. it asked for password again even though it was logged in. new account added. but all other accounts gone. backup updated show only the new one and not all the others. you had one job. don't loose 2FA.

good app working fine on my all devices except it lacks the icons of many websites.

Authy app doesn't work with Chromium-based browsers like Opera or Edge. Only works with Google Chrome. Doesn't work without the Chrome app also installed. The app itself is horrible. They couldn't develop a native Win32 app? What if I want to use Firefox only and not Chrome?

Great app very convenient - not perfect but the cross device sync is incredibly useful! Please add custom Icons (even if they have to be per device) or also site associations and use favicons - I'd happy pay for that feature
