Download Accelerator & Manager is an add-on that enables you to download large files with multi-threaded method. It divides the input file into several sections and then download all sections in parallel.
Just enter a desired thread count in popup and then add a new download task. You can add a new download through toolbar popup UI (top section) or simply right click on a desired download link and then click on the - Download with accelerator - item in context-menu.
Note: after adding a new URL, please adjust the number of threads. Also note that, currently the maximum number of threads is 5.

- (2021-09-17) Brooks: Extremely useful and high quality extension. Let alone the nice speedup and threaded downloads - this can also help prevent file corruption of large single file downloads from personal experience with certain ISPs or rather likely certain areas with issues in their network equipment or lines somewhere in the hub area. Anyway great utility.
- (2021-09-12) Hugh: Buried in the app's info you'll find the extension's limitations (conveniently not listed here on the add-on page, mind you 😉). It's biggest limitation is that it can't download files that are 5GB or more. Really disappointed. It worked well enough for smaller files, which is why I'll give it a second star. But when downloading larger files (i.e. bigger video game mods like texture replacers) it's a hassle. Larger files are where you'd really need a boost in speed.

- (2020-11-10) Dustin: I am adding this to serve as a counter balance to Stella Brins terrible review due to the fact she can't play a facebook game on edge. Hey Stella here is a tip for you DOWNLOAD ANOTHER BROWSER!!! As we all can tell Stella is a cold hard genius when it comes to computers and she obviously felt super empowered by her ability to review "edge" in the completely wrong place. Only hurting the app developer and unfairly biasing people against them when in reality they did nothing wrong and their may work fine. Please don't let Stella idiocy sour you to this app which I have never tried, but it deserves a fair shake something that it hasn't gotten because of morons who cannot computer.
- (2020-09-17) Stella: I can't play facebookgameroom.com Gardens Of Time....... It looks like the game is almost opening, and then, nothing further. Never actually opens. So, I can't play for the past 6 months... No one knows the solution. Changed laptop. They all have Microsoft Edge... I phoned Microsoft and Windows............ No one knows how to help me so that I can play my game............. Computers have become nonsensical.......................... In the old days, I never had such nightmares... The CD drawer was inside the laptop where it belongs.......... instead of in the way, on the desk......... How can I travel with all these extra items??? ILLOGICAL. Help me resolve the issue so that I can play my game, please. Thank you. [email protected]
