This browser extension is supported only with HP SimplePass versions 8.01.89 and greater.

- Inconsistent - It seems that there is no pattern to when this decides not to respond and when it actually works. For me, it works about 30% of the time. For the 70% there is no light and no response. It just does not exist until I reboot and then it works until ....

- It was not working initially, because I was running chrome in compatibility mode. Then I reset chrome compatibility mode and tested. Now it's working even in compatibility mode. (Note: I'm running chrome in compatibility mode because chrome won't open in normal mode until you kill the process in task manager) * HP ProBook 440 G2 * Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Browsers: *IE 11.0.20 *Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115

- Great app! Works very well with Chrome and Firefox (version below 51.0.1- 32 bit version; Does NOT work with higher version of Firefox or 64 bit version! due to Firefox policy change). This product is great and I cannot imagine not having it.

- I have been using this extension for a while now and I am so happy with it that now I can't think of not having this on my any other computers. It's so sad that such a crucial and helpful extensions are given low ratings. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Great product.

- HP Simplepass doesn't work half as well as the third party software they used to provide. Simplepass is completely unreliable. Sometimes it works ok but that is only temporary. I spent an hour with HP support to fix the issues I was having only to have the same issues return the next day. I have owned 3 HP laptops with fingerprint readers. The first one with the third party software worked great. The second one came with Simplepass and it worked ok. But with this new notebook it barely works at all. I'm pretty sure this will be my last HP comuter.

- My Scanner works while logging into the laptop, but never when logging in to web sites. It flashes positive match but says authentication failure. THis used to work before and has suddenly stopped working on google chrome..

- The version that came with my new HP laptop running Windows 10 is absolute crap. The only thing that it does is allow me to log into my computer. Forget logging into most websites. I can get it to consistently log me into only one of my saved websites. The version on my old laptop worked perfectly. Not only that, I could swipe a fingerprint to actually see my passwords, if necessary. Who was the genius that decided to remove that feature? Were it not for my typed list of passwords that I maintain as a backup, I wouldn't be able to access anything. Someone needs to come up with a fix for this.

- how i'm supposed to use this? It did remember a pass on the site. But on the next login nothing happens. I see my site in the SimplePass app but can't login using fingerprint.

- I like the hp simple pass for logging onto my computer but I hate when I'm trying to log onto Marlboro.com it messes me up and won't go away. I just want it to log on to my computer.

- It works well but it will not activate windows fingerprint login after resuming from hibernating. I have to do some tricks to get it to work. Would be nice if it came up and worked like it was supposed to. The other version worked fine for windows log in.

- Cant use this extension as it messes up the layouts of several websites including youtube. One star as I can't even use it because of the issue.

- I've had none of the problems other users are reporting... (I don't use facebook, but I do use youtube and it works fine). I do wish the desktop app was able to scan more fingers for different actions. Also the desktop app sometimes doesn't turn the fingerprint scanner on at lock screen so I need to type my password. Since this rating is for the extension and not the desktop app, it gets 5 stars; if it were for the desktop app, it would be 4 stars. --------- UPDATE: Removed two stars because it breaks Trello :-(

- It has to be disabled for me to see my gmail. It turns everything white and I can't see my inbox etc on the left hand side of my screen.

- Brilliant app except for the fact that: -Ruins Facebook messages -Ruins YouTube Layout -Keeps bringing back to the top of the page to websites that you have not signed into (annoying if you don't want to sign in) -Stop java player from working Please fix all of the above problems. For now it is disabled on my chrome.

- It'd be 5-stars if it wouldn't ruin website layouts, and it'd be nice if the original controller was included on new laptops, like is featured in HP's tutorials. The new controller is dumbed down, and doesn't include features such as opening apps or programs by swiping different fingers (a really cool idea, I thought...)
