VERSION 1.1 IS FINALLY OUT!
NEW: "Nightmode" for working in the dark or as a screensaver while you sleep. Use the "N" key.
NEW: You can now display the date under Desktop Clock
NEW: "Always On Top" option keeps Desktop Clock above other apps while you work.
Tired of straining your head to check the time or squinting at the tiny digital time on your computer? RGB Studios presents the simple, resizable solution: Desktop Clock.
Open in fullscreen to see the time from far away while hosting an event or leaving your computer. Completely customizable: featuring nightmode, always on top mode, and simple mode. At 1% of a megabyte, you've spent way more time reading this then it takes to install, so what are you waiting for?
Desktop Clock is a vector, meaning it resizes perfectly on any screen, no matter the size or number of pixels.

To create a desktop shortcut, open a new chrome tab and go to chrome://apps. Right click on desktop clock, select "Create shortcuts..." then "Create"
To update your chrome apps and extensions, go to chrome://extensions, enable "Developer mode" (top right), then click "Update extensions now" (top right). I don't know why this is hidden in developer mode, but here you go.
To chromecast a chrome app, you have to cast your entire desktop. Go to your chrome browser settings, click cast, then under the drop down "Cast to" menu on the top left, select "Cast desktop." Now simply open Desktop Clock and go to fullscreen.
What does a clock do when it gets hungry?
It goes back four seconds :)

- (2023-03-09) Janak Mallik: good app, it would be better with numbered analog clock
- (2023-01-17) Denis Znachko: Transparency should be the next highly requested feature. :) Really miss it.
- (2022-07-24) alex albay: Excellent App. Looking forward for a transparent background. Thank you.
- (2021-12-07) Marojahan Pangaribuan: So Far so good, and i only find this extenction app that able to float, and move out also resizeable. Great.. So Sad seeing so many dislike comment here :')
- (2021-05-25) Sharon Karkada: Loved this app. However ever since I accidently removed the frame in settings the app is failing to launch.
- (2021-05-18) Rick Warda: With all these options, I really wish you could make the background transparent. That way I could put this up on my wall TV with any screensaver background and it would look sharp. I'll keep looking but for now, this one works ok.
- (2021-04-20) Charles Banks: The ability to change appearance is nice and simple. But I can not move it. I want in "always on top" but not in the middle of my screen.
- (2020-10-20) BPR_Jon: Very Nice. Some neat ides would be allowing people to slap images in there somehow.
- (2020-09-29) Ning Cao: Good
- (2020-08-24) Tommy Noone: A nice desktop clock for when I need it. Works just fine. Only 4 stars because in this imperfect world nothing is perfect. My thanks to the developr :)
- (2020-07-27) Gaurav Saini: not opening. was working fine earlier reinstalled chrome pls fix this issue
- (2020-07-24) Andrew FD Snowball: Yeah, previous commentors are correct, it doesn't remember a secondary screen position. Also, some option to resize the date would be useful. I have it very small on my second monitor, but the date is smaller than my systray - so I turn it off.
- (2020-07-23) Hrach Mkrtchyan: Good job guys.Thanks!
- (2019-12-12) Paulo Seth (EyeCycled): Appears to have a bug in the "Display App Frame" option. When selected or deselected the App disappears from the desktop. Upon restarting it again then 2 instances of the app appear and it seems to somehow get the settings messed up as the date is no longer displayed. A bit odd, that's all. Other than that shows the time and the date of the month and week.
- (2019-06-15) A PointOnACurve: Overall good, but I need to make it smaller with smaller text. Also, Without App frame checked it resizes weird from different corners and also can't move. Also, moving it around it made random duplicate of the clock, weird. Both were functional. Always ontop doesn't work when the ting is slightly below the Task Bar. Gear resize could be smaller. Give option to kill AM/PM but have 12 hour clock.
- (2019-05-21) Johannes Bols: Why don't you have a clear background? All I need is the time, not a coloured background interfering with the screen?
- (2019-04-18) Melih Şengül: First of all sorry for my rate; I was looking for a clock widget/gadget for my business computer (which I can not install any program without permission) since I have always used my windows os task-bar auto-hided. This app only I'v found suits my situation. I guess it is only floating on screen clock. Could you please increase date font because when I sized its window to minimum it is hard to see/read date info. Can you provide opening system calendar functionality clicking on it or some other practical way? If you can find a way to make it able to fit area heights like program's title bar (with date info) it would be really nice.
- (2019-04-17) John Blackledge: App does not appear on boot-up. I have to manually find and run. Then size and position have defaulted to as if just installed. Acer 14" CB3-431.
- (2019-04-12) Scott R: Concept is nice, but the bulk of the window is the gear settings icon. Would like to be able to have more clock than settings or title bar.
- (2019-02-06) stella Clifford: good-looking straighforward clock!
- (2018-09-06) Nathan Schnitman QPA QKC QKA: Awesome app! LOVE IT!!!! It is perfect! Thank you! Thank you!
- (2018-09-04) Skip Regan: No longer remembers screen position when it's on a second monitor. Annoying to say the least!
- (2018-07-29) Sparky Noyb: Beautiful and functional. Highly recommend. -1 star because it loses track of time when my Chromebook lid is closed. Workaround is to close the app & restart it.
- (2018-07-25) Alyssa Gahagan: Simple but has many options
- (2018-07-18) Scotty B: Good app ty love that it has a 'Always on Top' feature, would be even better if you could have a setting to remove the title bar pls!
- (2018-05-18) Leo Salazar: It tells the time. No more, no less. Just how I like it!
- (2018-01-26) Jason Carmichael: Perfect. Just show me what time it is.
- (2017-06-30) Emily Daclan: Works great! Serves its purpose.
- (2017-05-13) Bruce Whiteside: Worked great when I first loaded it, but after my chromebook went to sleep and started up, the clock was hours late and did not sync with reality.
- (2017-03-13) Anwar Izzaoui: IT was not useful only if there was a stopwatch
- (2016-12-18) Daniel Monroe: Wish it was didgital but other than that its freakin great!!
- (2015-07-20) Joanne Kaplan: Excellent!
