I love DeepL. I appreciate this unofficial extension. But you don't set any option to choice language and is really negative.

Bad, just go with "DeepL Inside" extension, which is similar to what you expect from an official extension quality.

Very broken user experience, Deepl translator is deserved a better extension, would like to move to "Deepl Inside", which in place and in memory to do translation by deepl engine.

Had to modify popup.html to increase height to 800px and not be bothered by the cookie panel. Now it does its job correctly.

Frame bzw. Deepl muss mit Klick auf den Button in der Leiste mit den Erweiterungen geöffnet werden. Rechtsklick wäre hier viel einfacher. Zudem erscheint jedes Mal, auch auf der selben Seite, die Aufforderung, die Cookies zu akzeptieren. Chrome scheint die nicht speichern zu können mit diesem Frame (oder es ist jedesmal ein neues Frame). Zudem muss ich immer 2x die Cookies akzeptieren. Der Frame kann in der Grösse nicht verändert werden, was mühsam sein kann. Idee gut, Umsetzung verbesserungswürdig.

I deleted the extension after 3 minutes. Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge fan of Deepl (website application), but the reason why I want to use an extension is not to have a worse version of the website application, but to use it to translate entire websites, like I do with google translate. Unfortunately, this is not possible. Instead, you have the exact same version of deepl web application, with a big minus that you have to choose your cookies EVERY TIME you want to translate one paragraph. For that purpose, I find using the website far more convenient. I left 2 stars instead of one because I really like the website. I think you need to put more thought on why people would go an extra mile to install the plugin instead of using the website version. Normally, they want to read entire websites with the help of a translator. The quality of translation is, however, as always, fantastic. So stay with deepl itself (www.deepl.com), just don't bother installing the extension.

Although it takes a bit of time for the translation screen to pop up. it works. But the default language to translate into is set to Germany and seems not changable. Maybe I'd take the official deepL desktop app because I'm too lazy to switch it to my native language or English every single time I use this extention.

Not really useable for me. Thee is no selction-bubble, there is also no context menu entry for marked text. The popup is way to small and not resizeable, the close button of the pop up doesn't work for some reason. Additionally, there is a cookie warning each single time.

I like DeepL - enough to sign up to the trial month and see if works for me as a paid subscription. The chrome extension is very buggy - have to keep clicking on cookie preferences, doesn't stay logged in, takes too long to translate. At present, the extension is not a smooth customer experience. Will likely remove it and perhaps try again in a year or so.

I thought it would translate a website for me but was just a little box that opens where I can copy paste in pieces of text. The translation is very good so I will definitely keep using DeepL but the extension is a bit annoying. It always tries to translate to German for some reason and I can't set a preferred language, I tried logging in but it never works, and every single time it opens it asks me to confirm my cookie preferences. Needs some work but okay.

Its translations of Japanese & Chinese in my limited experience are sensational compared to Google Translate BUT in the Browser Brave (a) I need to pin the extension to the extension bar otherwise it is invisible (b) insists it needs access to the site (moviewalker) but then ignores you granting access 9c) on pasting text into the popup window (the only way I could get it to work) it insists on translation to German, you can select other languages from a dropdown (thank god) but there is no way to make that selection permanent, another paste and back to German....for translations 5/5 stars remoced for bugs above - note others have also complained about this and that but developers no longer reply sadly.

The accuracy of the translation is very impressive. However, it would be very easy to read if you could have it translated on screen like Google Translate. If you just see the translation results on another page for an article that is explained with diagrams, it's hard to read. It is the same.

Initially it was great and helpful but recently when I click to use it, only a blank window pops up.

Geht schlichtweg nicht. Weißes Fenster geht auf und das wars. Das Fenster geht nicht mal mehr weg und überdeckt große Teile der Seite.

No longer works because of CSP in iframe restriction: Refused to display 'https://www.deepl.com/translator#en/de/Queries' in a frame because an ancestor violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "frame-ancestors 'self'".

La extensión en chrome no funciona correctamente, no carga la traducción. Le doy al icono y no aparece nada

Nice add-on. But it stopped working and it is showing nothing now. An empty frame.

Funktioniert bei mir leider überhaupt nicht. Es öffnet sich ein deepl Overlay Fenster, in das der markierte Text aber nicht übernommen wird. Auch manuelles Einfügen bringt nichts, da das Fenster unbenutzbar ist. Sehr Schade. Die DeepL Übersetzungen sind schon sehr gut, aber jedes mal die Webseite aufrufen? Leider ist es Unklar, ob es in Verbindung mit einem DeepL Abo dann funktionieren würde.

It would be great if it could translate whole web pages, without needing to select small text sections. Such as Google Translator but without limiting the amount of text.

I've chosen this extension because this extension has no additional site access. It does not require to access all data on all websites I visit, and is open source, it is important for your security.

Doesn't work!

Не открывается окно с переводом, а также не подгружается страница с переводом!

Кривое расширение. При каждом переводе требуется выбирать язык перевода и окно с переводом само не закрывается, нужно каждый раз искать малюсенький крестик чтобы закрыть его.
