Recent Update: There may be some bugs in the most recent update (v3.0.0) because there was a big overhaul to migrate to manifest v3. A lot of functionality changed with browser extensions, so be patient while bugs get fixed.
Support your favorite Twitch streamers by automatically lurking in their stream when they go live.
Twitch Lurker allows you to build a list of favorites based on who you follow and open up muted tabs of their stream as soon as they go live.
IMPORTANT: You must have tabs already open with the Twitch player running in order for you to count as a viewer in their viewer count. If the extension loads a new tab with a stream, it won't count you as a viewer until you open the tab and load the player yourself.
***
How to use the extension:
1) Download/Install from the store or sideload it in your browser
2) Login with OAuth so we can pull your follow list (don't worry, we don't collect any of your info)
3) Click the stars next to channels in your following list to mark them as Favorites
4) Order your Favorites list to your liking (the higher in the list, the higher their priority over other Favorites)
5) Open two tabs with live streams
6) You are now supporting your favorite content creators and gaining free channel points!
If you would like to support this extension feel free to hit the "buy me a coffee" button in the extension or drop me Twitch Prime sub @ twitch.tv/ErianasVow .
It'd help me a lot and all proceeds go to further development of the extension!

- (2025-05-28) Officer Mills: 2 stars because it worked for one full day before failing. No longer stays logged in. Nothing was changed in browser settings it just started automatically logging the extension out of Twitch(Chrome browser/Twitch still logged in). You log into Twitch thru the extension and before you can can blink it's automatically logged out.
- (2025-05-22) Daniel Real: It's a great extension, the only thing missing is that it also automatically opens kick streams, just for that I give it 4 stars but it's a 10/10 on Twitch
- (2025-04-19) 藤原朔: Sometimes it fails to work properly.
- (2025-04-12) Lewis H: Nice little extension that allows you to sort streamers from ones you actually watch and those that you just follow. I do believe that I have hit a limit though with how many favorites you can have which is unfortunate as I can only favorite a channel if I unfavorite another. Unsure as to why there is a limitation to this if the extension has hit a size issue or a design flaw that was not thought of when creating. ie just an array that can't resize rather than some other ADT. Looking forwards to some feedback or update on my issue. Apart from that, it helps a lot for someone that follows a lot of channels but only lurks or watches a handful.
- (2025-03-04) Joshua: I love this extension but please add a list where we can have our ultimate favourites (you could add a double star or other symbol to represent this) And in this list will prioritise them first over the main list when opening the browser and such. I will come back and change this review to 5 stars if you do!
- (2025-02-07) Preston: Works great!
- (2025-01-01) Momon TV: Thank you for making this extensions. I'm just wondering if anyone else who's using, have similar issues with mine. I've been using this for quite some time with diff browser. At some point all of them, after awhile will open the tab tho the media/stream is not playing. I'm still considered lurking in stream tho, just curious.
- (2024-12-21) Kiel: It keeps muting even when i set it not to and try to unmute my tabs. Something needs fixing but i still love it! thanks for creating it!
- (2024-11-25) Ronel Vincent “MacStevins” Ching: It would be cool if it had a way to open a new window instead of opening it as a new tab
- (2024-10-12) Ko: excelent plugin, my ONLY desire is a setting to close the tab when streams are done.
- (2024-10-11) Samuel6710: A solid extension that does what it says. No complaints here.
- (2024-10-11) Scorthyn: Works perfect and the settings sync between pcs. One option I would love is that when it opens the tabs automatically if you close it the extensions does not keep opening up them again, is that possible?
- (2024-08-19) Rafa Lozano: Thanks! it helps a lot!
- (2024-08-17) HuffleStitch: update: not sure if this is possible but I've been watching a streamer who hasn't stopped streaming for a while and everytime the stream restarts it doesn't refresh on its own, this could in be something in my settings somewhere I've yet to figure out though, but now sure if there's a way you could add somethings to it refreshes the stream on a restart also. I really like this extension, my only real issue is that if I open another instance of twitch to watch a vod or clips, over the max number set, the extension will reload to one of the live streams on my favorites list. Update to this, if I go into mod view it reloads it back to the regular channel, and if I open a seperate tab for mod view it will load another channel from my favorites list after the set amount of time.
- (2024-07-28) M C: Edit: okay thanks man for your quick answer, then I have to look where the problem comes from, for twitch lurker I give you 5 stars
- (2024-05-31) Josh Howard: works really well! think it does what it wants to do really well. Would be a cool feature if it could randomize your favorite list on a timer so it will randomly choose different streamers automatically every so often so it doesn't always just have the same people popping up. I like to watch multiple people and I have to choose each time but having more randomness to who I watch could be fun sometimes!
- (2024-05-02) Jordan Wickens: Awesome extension, works perfectly
- (2024-05-01) Edgar Zamudio: Simply amazing, does exactly as described. Would it be possible to add game categories to favorites, and open streamers who start to play it?
- (2024-05-01) Peter: Works properly, although the tab opens on the wrong computer for me. It would be a lot more helpful to select which system to have the tab open - if possible.
- (2024-03-26) Ghazi N: doesnt work for me
- (2024-03-24) Johnathan G: Does not stay signed in to Twitch, it signs you back out and states to sign in again? It happens about 10-15mins after you sign it in
- (2024-02-26) Timothy Probett: Edit: Turns out I'm dumb, this does everything I could need it to, thank you! Excellent extension!
- (2023-12-12) Buzz Adam: Wonderful, go-to app. I have noticed a few things. This is based on a Chromium-based browser. A: Sometimes when unmuting a tab (in this recent update) another stream will open up, even if you already have the max streams open based on your settings., Sometimes 1-2 more additional will open, beyond your max streams settings. Second, are Kick streams supposed to open up, or is it just more for reference?, Twitch stream (loaded in order after a specific Kick streamer who is online and streaming) will open and not the Kick stream. Thirdly, I'd like to request a feature to save your Favorites so if having to reinstall or move to another browser, we don't have to manually tick and re-order all of the favorites? I appreciate all of your hard work. Wonderful apo., again., to you., Thank You., kindly., very much.
- (2023-12-09) max rebirth: Normally a phenomenal app, however... I have to question the choice to add... kick? The name of the app is Twitch lurker, I don't support nor condone Kick, and had I had known this was going to be added; I would have spoken up sooner... its a notorious platform with sexual abuse, drugs and gambling. I'm sure its just a volley for some nerd to be like "WELL TECHNICALLY" cause of the YouTube support; but the platforms work together. Aside from the that... the recent permissions has broken or made things not work as they normally would. e.g. sometimes I have to open things manually even after granting permission. Polling is set to 3m; and I've been using this for as long as I can remember. I'll update the review once the app functions as proper, but I strongly recommend making kick its own application, please don't just jumble other services into an application that was intended for a certain audience. (if you aren't familiar with the politics of Twitch, you' should understand that the two platforms do NOT get along together). Normally on Twitch I have given this platform raving reviews and have had MANY users reflect their love for this app, but if kick remains to be supported I will have to pull my support; in addition to removing it from my browser.
- (2023-11-16) Jay B: This is an excellent extension for twitch allowing you to set the priority of streamers is an excellent touch. I noticed that if a higher priority streamer goes live and I have the amount of tabs I allow maxed out it will replace the lowest priority streamer with the higher one which is a great touch. Honestly the only thing I wish this had was the ability to set streamer specific settings that will take priority if I prefer. For instance some streamers I prefer muted when they're brought up and others I don't. Not a huge deal, but would be great.
- (2023-09-04) Vitor Ribeiro: Last edit: I still think this extension is worth 5 stars. However it's a shame that Twitch is auto-muting new tabs automatically, effectively pausing any second automatically opened stream tab since any muted twitch tabs in the background will auto-pause... I wish the extension could disable this auto-mute so that the stream would not pause. Thanks! Ok, I think I finally got the hang of it. I wanted to give it a 4.5 just to encourage further improvement . It is working both on Chrome and Edge browser but it can be a little buggy. But It appears to be getting better as I try it. The only part that I don't know whether is working or not is the "open tab in background" function. It does open tabs in the background but they stay completely blank and appear not to load so I presume that it doesn't result in a lurk (not sure though). If you don't select that option however, it automatically opens your favorited streamer's tabs automatically. Other than that, sometimes the tabs don't open well, but I'm not sure this is down to the extension or the browser itself. I like this extension very much. 4.5 out of 5. edit: Thank you very much for your answer Michael! The only suggestion I would have at this point would be the increase the "max streams at once" from 5 to a greater value, like 10, for instance. I think the extension deserves a 5 rating. :) Thank you very much. Edit 2: Regarding the concurrent streams. I understand. Just trying to help out my favorite streamers. Thanks once again! Great job! :)

- (2023-07-18) 저장용: If the streamer sets a local nickname (for example, a Korean nickname) in addition to the ID, the nickname is entered in the address bar and cannot be moved to that channel. Could you please improve it for non-English speaking countries? It's such an attractive extension! Thank you.

- (2022-09-08) trigirl48: Does what it says which is great, but if I, for example, have 3 tabs open & close 1 because I'm just not feeling that stream, the extension will reopen the tab after a few minutes. It then becomes a fight to keep the tab closed.
