I good set of quality full range speakers helps but when the cost can be excessive and adding a dedicated DSP can be obscenely expensive then adding a EQ can help tease out the best sound from what you currently have. No purchase, no system hooks that hang around well after install. really enjoying the options this offers.

(2025-02-19) Jon Thurn: Great in-browser equalizer, and definitely one of the best. I like this one for its simplicity - the compressor is helpful on sites like YouTube, where some videos can be exceedingly quite, and/or have really uneven audio in terms of volume. The classic, 10-band EQ works like you'd expect, and if you set the levels yourself (rather than using one of the presets), the extension will save them. The only thing I feel is lacking here, is the ability to save your own presets - that'd be amazing, but anyways, hats off to the devs for what they've made so far (just please include the ability to save presets in the future! lol).

(2025-02-15) monmixer: This EQ is great. I'm also a professional audio engineer. I like it because obviously you can clear up audio that is hard to understand simply by adding or removing one of the fixed frequencies close to the range where the issue is and especially for on the go laptop that does not have external speakers to boost some low end so it isn't so thin sounding. If it were 1/3rd octave 31 band I would be happy to pay for it and thus the reason for 4 stars and not 5.
