Due to the reactive nature of the Patreon front end, the only way to download slideshow images is to simulate a user interacting with the site. Please don't complain that you don't want to sit through slideshows, it's the only way I can get all the urls. . The reason images are downloaded at the end of the process is that network errors or timeouts will break the scraping, so trying to download a large file while scraping is a bad idea.
I highly suggest filtering the feed by month or selecting single posts for feeds with a lot of images or files. You will need a fairly fast connection as network errors will stop the scraping.
The extension will take control of the website and attempt to find all images and files. It then sends the urls to be downloaded sequentially.
To use simply load the page you want to archive, you can stop the page loading once the dom has loaded if you don't want to wait for all the images to download. Then press download. Images will be downloaded to downloads/Patreon_Downloader/ in the given folder and in subfolders named after the post titles.
WARNING: If you haven't set up a default download directory, you will have to manually choose the save location for each image, which might open a lot of popup windows. It is not recommended to attempt to download too many images at once without a default download directory.
If you have a network error while scraping a slideshow, you can right click on the image missing icon and select "load image". The scraper will continue.

Allow updates only when it will stop working dev releases update who make extension unusable for most users, removing functionalities. Instead of restoring old working version, while resolving problems with the new, leaves the broken extension. I am a dev myself but even for freeuse software there needs to be standard

It just doesn't find any files to download, of any kind, even when they're present, neither in single posts nor a list of posts by single creator and single month. On the other hand, there IS another extension with the same name but a different icon that works just fine. It might not allow bulk downloads, but at least it works, which is more than can be said for THIS extension (despite a couple of hours of troubleshooting, involving removing any and all other extensions, creating new user profiles within the browser, and trying it on both Chrome and Windows' rebadged version of the browser). Such a shame.

This needs to be done before the download. - It randomly fails with no explanation, then doesn't continue. It would be nice to know why this is happening, but it also doesn't allow skips, so if you find something like this you may be out of luck since you can't get the grouping you want.

There are a couple of small issues like not being able to set the default download location and the subfolder feature not working, but other than these small things, it does the job and downloads all the full resolution images automatically. I do not understand why people need an extra app to download pictures. On Patreon just click on the picture and click save as. But I cant downloand Patreon videos.
- (2021-05-06) RAVASHEEN CC: I am not sure why this is getting such poor reviews. It works exactly as advertised and saved me hours of time. The post text feature is awesome and the download folder is so well organized. Sure, it took awhile (~30 minutes?) for all my posts which had a mix of videos, images, and gifs (which I was pleasantly suprised to see it saved the gifs as well!). I don't know the exact time because its very simple to just have this running in the background while I did other things. So having it open the gallery etc doesn't seem like a big deal. If I had done this myself it would have taken so, so many hours. Also, patreon does not let you upload videos - only embed through vimeo or youtube. So any expectation for this to download videos is unrealistic. I am rebuilding my website and planned to rename all the files after downloading... I found that the downloaded files were simply named with consecutive numbers in each subfolder. This is so great because my uploaded file names were horrible. Having the downloaded image file names in this format will make it so easy to use a command shell to quick rename the files by just adding a prefix to the name. This is a wonderful plugin and I am very thankful to the creator who took the time to write this! Give the guy a break and read the notes and instructions before using. It is super simple to use and a life-saver. Thank you!!!

Like the author says, it simulates a user, so yes, it is a little bit slow if you compare it to a bot, but it is still much faster than manually downloading everything yourself. For long posts, you can simply run it in the background while it is scrolling images.
