LiveLink2CMS helps CMS content editors quickly navigate from live website content to CMS back office.
LiveLink2CMS creates edit links on live web sites that link directly back to the content management environment with little or no code modifications saving content editors the time of navigating their content management system.
It includes templates for connecting to Drupal, Joomla, Sitecore, Umbraco and Word Press administration back offices. It has a custom configuration to allow it to work with any content management system that can open content for editing using an item identifier.
It includes the ability to share configurations. It is recommended to allow developers to create configurations and then share with team members.
Word Press will likely work out of the box for your website.
For developers / power users, LiveLink2CMS requires the existence of an identifier embedded in the html that standard document.querySelectorAll can find the element. It then looks for an ID attribute on the page. Examples; customizable for you website:
Element: <html lang="en-us" data-udi="54034f33-7fb3-4862-b07d-7320cfd2e743">
Query Selector: html
Attribute: data-udi
Element: <div data-udi="54034f33-7fb3-4862-b07d-7320cfd2e743" class="blog-post-item">
Query Selector: div.blog-post-item
Attribute: data-udi
LiveLink2CMS retrieves and replaces the value {ITEMID} in the link to your content management back office. Example for an Umbraco 14 website:
