Description from store Progress Clock Tool is part of the Tabletop Overlay Tools (TOT Dock), a suite of lightweight extensions designed for game masters who want more control and immersion at the table. The Progress Clock gives you a simple, visual way to track tension, countdowns, heists, rituals, or any in-game event that escalates over time. Click to advance the clock, adjust wedges and opacity, drag it where you need it, and let your players feel the pressure as the segments fill. It’s big, bold, and built to stay visible on digital maps and displays without being distracting. INSPIRATION The inspiration behind the Progress Clock comes from narrative systems like Blades in the Dark, where clocks create dramatic pacing and real tension. By bringing that concept into a browser overlay, TOT makes it easier to blend story mechanics into any system, from Dungeons & Dragons to Pathfinder to your favorite indie RPGs. INSTALLATION Installation is easy. Once added, the Progress Clock sits inside the shared TOT Dock, a unified bar that hosts multiple tools. The dock keeps everything organized and consistent, with one place to launch whichever overlay you need. Each tool can be toggled on or off independently, so your screen stays uncluttered. DIGITAL MAPS AT THE TABLE TOT Dock is designed to work both with popular virtual tabletops like Roll20, Foundry, and Owlbear Rodeo, and for DMs who run in-person games on a TV, monitor, or projector. Running digital maps at the table is immersive but comes with challenges—managing fog of war, showing AOE templates, keeping initiative order visible, or tracking timed events. TOT Dock provides overlays that solve these problems without requiring you to switch platforms or juggle extra windows. OTHER TOOLS In addition to the Progress Clock, other tools in the ecosystem include the Initiative Tracker for combat order, the AOE Plotter for spell templates, the Countdown Timer for dramatic pacing, and a Fog of War tool in development to reveal maps gradually. Each is modular, lightweight, and designed to work seamlessly together. Whether you run your games online or in person on a digital display, the Progress Clock Tool and the TOT Dock ecosystem give you the missing functions you need to create smoother, more cinematic sessions.
