- Once upon a time this extension worked perfectly. It still does what it says in the title, but now it has a bunch more bloat and asks for a lot of permissions. Recommend you remove it unless you love being tracked and annoyed all the time.

- May 2024 Update: For some reason, this extension added an obnoxious bloatware button on Google search results. Has nothing to do with this extension's purpose and cannot be disabled. I no longer recommend this extension. Use "Display Reddit images natively in browser" instead. Search for it on Chrome.google.com. Downgrading from 5/5 to 2/5. ______ Thank you for correctly solving a pointless problem that the corrupt, immoral, unethical, censorship-promoting staff of Reddit (Steve Huffman, Jen Wong, Drew Vollero, and Christopher Slowe) caused.

- DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Possibly contains malware now. Suddenly started asking to get access to data on all websites and now shows a "Search on Reddit" button on all search websites, passing the query through s.previewrule.com created on 20th of May.

- May 22 2024 *UPDATE* This extension displays an ad when loading reddit, and crucially demands permission to "Read and change all your data on all websites". The developer of the Firefox version of this extension is listed as "nopperl". The developer of the current version of the chrome extension is listed as "smithmichael". The extension appears to have been sold to a new owner, and is accused of injecting malware code. The extension "Display Reddit images natively in browser" seems to be a good replacement. ***OLD REVIEW PRE-MALWARE***<Aug 4 2023:This is an excellent solution to a bad situation, created by the reddit executives. - It works, but I'm not a fan of it changing the default image to webp instead of what the image originally was. Please give us an option to keep the original file type.

- Isn't working completely for me; at best it was just removing the visuals of the reddit image page, but functionally it had all the same downsides still. This did however clean the url enough that a simple tampermonkey script got me the rest of the way.

- Works and does what it says, but breaks on browser restart (Brave). Opening extensions page, disabling and re-enabling fixes it when this happens. Reload the Reddit page after such.

- FINALLY a solution to Reddit's annoying image host that wraps an annoying frame around all hosted images, even when you try to view only the image. This is now a must-have for desktop browsing, and it works perfectly in Edge too. Reddit made things worse with their useless dumb idea and this sets the universe right again.

- Worked briefly, but now says "no access needed" when on the appropriate webpages for reddit. My browser just updated today too, not sure which broke it. Update: Reinstalling the extension got it working again. Thanks for making this extension, hopefully it will stay functional for everyone.
