Description from extension meta
Improves integration with crouton chroots.

Description from store
Does *not* install crouton; you still need to be in developer mode.
Required to support the "xiwi" target, which puts X11 in a native window.
Also adds handy things like Chromium OS URL handling, notifications, and clipboard synchronization to crouton.

- This extension is great when it works. Unfortunately, I spend most of my time removing and re-installing it, because it continually disconnects. Let me know if there is a fix for this or an updated version of this extension. Appreciate advice from anyone. Thanks

- Everything is okay except clipboard integration. There is no clipboard integration with crouton on my Pixelbook. Most likely, I should go back to original Pixelbook's linux apps support.

- Fantastic to have chroot on a Chromebook. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

- So useful

- Finally got xfce working again on my Kali install. Doesn't seem to have the same resolution as the old native x11 run, which is knocking one star off. But that appears to be my only issue with functionality. One note... Please include Hugo Dawson's instructions for how to install on the splash page. It was the only reference I could find on how to install this on an already existing chroot. Very helpful to those of us not terribly familiar with crouton.

- Causes everything to run noticeably slower.

- Working like a charm. I feel back to the old days of my Nokia n900. Just a seamless integration with the chroot.

- Makes linux on chromeos dev mode easier and more functional imho.

- Love the extension and the crouton project, but I also only figure out how to configure it after reading Hugo Dawnson's message below. tl;dr: type sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -u -t xiwi before installing the extension. Profit.

- Read Hugo Dawson's comments if you really want to use this extension because the extension itself tells you nothing about how to actually make it work. This extension is not strictly required to run a Crouton Chroot in a Chrome Tab/Window. You can use VNC instead by installing one of the VNC clients for ChromeOS and then you can set up your chroot to use either x11vnc to redirect the regular X11 session, or you can use xvfb + x11vnc from a login shell, or xtightvncserver for that matter. Or you can even configure X11 to use the VNC display driver.

- GREAT.

- Edited because I was frankly a bit rude to start with, D. Schneider has done an excellent job with this stable of tools, but when written: Required to support the "xiwi" target, which puts X11 in a native window. The kind of information that can be labelled 'if you understand this, you are probably not reading it'. You need to install xiwi to get the extension to work. This is best done when you first install the crouton installation sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -u -t xiwi is the code to update, where for 'crouton' read ubuntu, if you run another version, add -r your version here after crouton and before -u

- I got it to work, its just that its extremely laggy though :(

- Allows for (and required to) a chroot environment to be run in a window on a Chrome OS device allowing for quick and easy access to both your Linux distro and Chrome OS as well as a slew of other features. As noted in the crouton documentation, it is not ideal for complex applications such as games, etc. but as most Chrome OS devices ship with hardware unsuitable for such uses, this hardly seems relevant. Largely eliminates the flaws of crouton (poor software selection) by allowing for numerous Linux apps to be run natively on the machine.

- Great extension, but why do you have it unlisted in the Chrome Web Store? Users can't even find this extension by Googling "crouton integration extension".

- I'm currently running ChromeOS on an extended display, while xfce runs on my main. Started off using this with Unity; everything was a little laggy so I installed xfce and tried that instead. To my surprise, all applications I had installed over Unity transferred over! An excellent extension.
