  • (2023-09-27) Jayson Gatmen: This app does not launch when I click on launch app. I am using a Lenovo U410.
  • (2022-12-27) Don Vercetti: Opened this thing after Installing it and It said "No Longer Supported", Fantastic.
  • (2021-11-08) First Name: The playback quality of the MIDI sequence was extremely poor, even compared to a more modern Windows Sound Card. It cannot hold up to any other MIDI player, and the percussion track is automatically assigned to Piano, despite being assigned to as a Drum Kit.
  • (2021-08-24) mr.beatboxer 757: just a literal white box. how do i uninstall? there must be a button
  • (2021-02-02) Samuel's smart edits: Works.
  • (2020-08-05) AnJelic: I have a BRAND NEW chromebook and this app won't even launch
  • (2019-12-30) Idea Hamster: Application simply does not work. Double clicking on a local midi file opens a blank white window, no audio. Dragging and dropping a local midi file seems to do nothing. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same behaivor. Checked the support comments and this seems to be a common problem, dating back several years. As near as I can tell, this project has been abandoned. Contacted the developer, if anything changes, will update this review.
  • (2019-05-07) James Ricketts: IT SUKS. DOESN'T WORK NEVER DOES.IF I COULD RATE IT 0 STARS, I WOULD.
  • (2019-03-22) Not working -- downloaded but comes up as a blank rectangle on a new Pixelbook.
  • (2019-03-08) First Baptist Church Brownsdale: App opens to a blank dialogue box, no controls other than minimize, maximize and close. This app has proved worthless.
  • (2019-03-02) Didn't even get past a blank window
  • (2019-02-11) Spencer Churchill: this app doesnt load or play midi files
  • (2019-01-27) Ryan “Donnyron” Paul: It was alright... at first. When I first got it all my midis worked well with some minor issues (Sustaining notes, Lag, etc) but it was free so I didn't mind too much. Now when I try to play midis NOTHING HAPPENS the app doesn't open and just hangs on a blank window!
  • (2018-12-07) charles fia: Doesn't work, just white blank screen. Needs fixing in Chrome.
  • (2018-08-31) Terry Canaan: Doesn't work. Just a blank, white page.
  • (2018-07-15) Patrice Louison: Opens a white window and does nothing : please remove from store...
  • (2018-07-05) SonoFelice: Blank.
  • (2018-06-26) Kenn Hamm: Doesn't work. Blank screen as other reviews say. Probably needs to be updated.
  • (2018-05-29) Bob Colby: This app does not function. Multiple attempts to install wind up at the same place. Try to launch the app and all you get is a blank white box. Glowing reviews about this app mean nothing if we can never get it to run to try it for ourselves. Something is broken and from the support comment timestamps no one has looked into fixing it for a very long time. One star.
  • (2018-05-24) Yumi Kawakami: i't dose not load it's just a white screen
  • (2018-05-15) Heather Morgan: why won't anything come up?
  • (2018-05-13) Kai W: Very good note player
  • (2018-05-04) Rich “Sundry” Pascual: Doesn't work. Why is this still in the store? Tried installing it twice and the app would not start up to play my midi file.
  • (2018-04-06) Bobbie Wilson: I Love This .
  • (2018-03-22) Latasha Williamson: I can't even play my midi! It's just a white screen!
  • (2017-09-15) Joël Langlois: This is pretty garbage: it's using some kind of half-baked SoundFont with no drums (?), and its playback glitches constantly. Not only that, its MIDI format support is extremely weak: lack of CC message support, for example. FYI, ignore the 4 star reviews below, as people apparently don't understand how reviews work.
  • (2017-08-18) Craig: Wouldn't play all my old Midis. Took a while loading instruments. The app is nearly 100 MB to install. --Craig
  • (2017-07-14) Bill le: does not even open
  • (2017-07-10) Jordan: This app doesn't work. I tried to open a simple midi file for a project but it crashed three times and crashed my webpages.
  • (2017-03-25) Moss: It did what it was supposed to... but it sounded a bit different compared to how it would play on windows. Tested the same file side by side on my windows computer and on my chromebook. It's not bad, just different.
  • (2017-03-16) SimplyVibinn: So it did what it was supposed to do, but I wish you could observe the piano playing the notes (similar to synthesia). Now the app is pretty much useless to me...
  • (2017-02-09) Alex Rock: Very serviceable player for basic midi files. Best I've found for my chromebook so far. Doesn't assign drums properly (channel 10 should be drums, it assigns piano or something weird instead). Sometimes skews notes.
  • (2017-01-13) Dave Conway: Does what it says on the tin: plays MIDI files. There's a lot of skipping compared to when I play them in Ubuntu on my Chromebook, but it lets me have a quick listen without having to switch over, so it works for me.
  • (2016-12-15) Dylan Thompson: Doesn't correctly handle volumes of different tracks.
  • (2016-11-03) Tanyn Sansom: Plays black midi files as good as any windows 3.1 pc (it doesn't)
  • (2016-09-24) Bridget Faris: loads small midi file: glitches at random loads large midi file: wat
  • (2016-06-08) Alexander Pal: Seems to work wonderfully. You did a great job!
  • (2016-05-28) Tracy Chain: Excellent, quick install and does exactly what is supposed to. I use it to preview hymn midi files provided on Hymnary.org, so this is elegant, quick and simple for that use.
  • (2016-04-23) Roblin Felber: just works simple
  • (2016-03-22) Galactic Populators: The bar is not set very high for Chromebook apps. MIDI Player works, doesn't crash, doesn't wreck any of my data, and apparently is currently the only app available for Chromebook which plays MIDI.
  • (2016-03-14) Sue Lewis: Appears to work on the downloaded MIDI files I have on my Chromebook. Great - but will not play these files when online - you must download them first.
  • (2016-03-03) Gallium: It isn't working for me...
  • (2015-12-07) For most files, this works fine, but pitch bend doesn't work at all. I got this specifically so I could preview wikipedia's microtonal midi examples, so that's kind of a massive problem for me
  • (2015-10-08) Fabian F: It works but I wish you could change the soundfonts. The ones it uses sound pretty horrible. Also, tried it on a chromebook and there were skips in playback. Also, it doesn't seem to cache the instruments, so you have to keep downloading them.
  • (2015-07-01) Adrià Vilanova Martínez: This extension is awesome and very useful! Also, great use of Material Design ;-)
  • (2015-06-26) floony floon: simple and works :) edit: sometimes screws up the music so only 3 stars :p
  • (2015-06-17) It is a simple, easy and stable MIDI player. I will give 5 stars if RMI support is added.
  • (2015-05-13) David Voy: Didnt seem to play my .midi file very good.
  • (2015-03-16) Charlie: Fantastic, and great to see more Polymer design!
  • (2015-03-11) J: cant get it to work
