Coursera's video player normally caps the playback speed to a maximum of 2x. With this extension, the playback speed can be increased to any desired multiplier from 0.25x to 10x.
The keyboard shortcuts are listed below:
Space: Play/Pause
Up: Increase Volume
Down: Decrease Volume
Left: Skip Back
Right: Skip Forward
F: Toggle Fullscreen

- It is okay that it increases your maximum threshold. But I was more looking for a keyboard shortcut to change playback speed. And I found a better extension "Video Speed Controller" on chrome web store which I think is better because it does both work, increase the maximum threshold of playback speed and also provide customizable keyboard shortcut to change playback speed.
