- (2025-09-09) Lawrence: Totally unnecessary. Google bizarrely crippled offline editing, then makes you download an extension to uncripple it, so they can add spyware. I had just started using Google docs again, which I'd stopped a few years ago because of privacy. Then they do this. In short, TOTALLY unnecessary. Google getting on with being evil.
- (2025-09-09) Haider Ali: Deceitful way of forcing us to install this extension.
- (2025-09-09) Damien Knight: Having to download something that is already part of every computer, phone or laptop is ridiculous and honestly very confusing! What's the point??

- (2025-09-06) J M: Is this a "pork barrel" extension? You really just want one thing, but Google is sliding in a bunch of other stuff you are agreeing to but don't realize you are agreeing too? They already know everything about us, so why is this necessary, especially on chrome! Must be really bad. I'll keep using the work-around.

- (2025-08-21) Gerardo Monsisvais: not needed
- (2025-08-21) Jian Alexander: This is a complete disaster. The spreadsheet app forces you to download a separate extension just to do the absolute basics: copy, cut, and paste. The very functions that have been standard since the dawn of computers are nowhere in the core app. Instead, you are handed a clunky add-on that crashes sometimes, offers zero feedback when it fails, and performs worse than simple keyboard shortcuts. Now you have extra steps, permissions to manage, and the constant risk of browser conflicts just to do what should be seamless. Completely unacceptable. It gets worse. Installing this “essential” extension feels like jumping through endless hoops for nothing. Every time it glitches, you’re left wondering if the problem is you, the app, or the extension itself. There’s no guidance, no error messages, just frustration. The interface is sluggish, unintuitive, and fragile. Simple tasks like moving cells around or copying data become exercises in patience rather than productivity. For a program marketed as a professional tool, this is sloppy, lazy, and unforgivably negligent design. Honestly, the whole setup feels like a bait-and-switch. You open the app expecting efficiency, but instead you’re babysitting an extra piece of software just to perform functions that should be native. It’s insulting to users who rely on spreadsheets for real work. Time is wasted, tasks are slowed, and the workflow is constantly at risk. I cannot overstate how poorly conceived this is. Every moment using it feels like a fight against the software itself rather than a step forward in productivity. If you want a spreadsheet app that works, look elsewhere. This is a masterclass in frustration disguised as modularity. Basic functionality should never be optional, and this extension proves the developers have completely lost sight of user needs. Avoid it unless you enjoy unnecessary headaches.

- (2025-08-12) Blythe: Google Docs Offline is feature-rich, but it lacks AI writing and mind map generation capabilities. I've switched to TinaMind's Wiseinks, which offers powerful mind map and AI writing features.
- (2025-08-09) Josh Baier: Should not be necessary
- (2025-08-09) Viet ChuXuan: 10/10, an extension that revolutionize the internet by introducing the copy, paste and cut feature.
- (2025-08-08) Simon: Seriously? Sheets and Chrome can't handle cut and paste without an extension? Even when Copying and pasting within the document while online?
- (2025-08-05) Rahul Maru: What is the point of this
- (2025-08-04) T D: Keeps automatically installing despite the fact I never ever use Google Docs. Literally crapware. Stop making me uninstall this everytime I update my browser please.
- (2025-08-04) Olga Kovalenko: had to install this extension to copy and paste text
- (2025-08-03) Md Shahparan Rimon: Force me to install this only for simple copy-paste task
- (2025-07-30) Ryan Duffin: You can work offline then reconnect and lose all your offline work! So useful. I used to use this regularly with no problem, so chalk this up to one more thing that was fine and Google ruined it anyway.

- (2025-07-26) Penni Moore: I don't understand why I was forced to add this when normally [in other situations - laptops, PC's etc] the options I'm wanting are all ready to go. Concerning that it gets only 2.3 stars. Plus the useless blasted doc I tried to create lacks all the tools & options I require. A big fat waste of my time. For example I simply needed to copy then paste after hand drawing into it
