Description from store
With Skill Builder Spelling you creating spelling lists has never been easier. It is completely offline so there are virtually no page load times which means more time practising your spelling words! This app uses the common 'Look, Cover, Write, Check' method, where the app does the 'Cover' and 'Check' parts for the student or child allowing them to focus on getting the word right.
For Teachers:
This app is great as it allows you to add a spelling list and have it be run over and over again for all students.
For Parents:
It is super simple to create tests, add words to them, and start them that your child will be completing their test in no time!
For Everyone Else:
This app is great for just brushing up on your spelling words. You can create a list and add all the words you need to practice to and run them whenever you want.
FAQ:
Q: Why doesn't the application read out the word to me?
A: This app is based off visuals, hence you simply see the word. Through past experience, seeing the word before you spell it helps you remember it more easily.
Q: How do I sync the tests between computers?
A: Currently there is no way to do this, however if you need this feature, let us know with a comment in the 'Reviews' tab.

- (2016-06-17) K s Walker: This App is marvelous! I have been wanting a spelling-help device to increase my daughter's spelling ability. I ran across this one and breathed a sigh of relief. Thank you for creating this App; it is transforming our lives.
- (2014-09-06) S.: enjoying this app to review words. works great for the homeschool.
- (2014-02-12) Colm Manley: Simple interface. Very user friendly. The test feature is pretty basic - the word appears and disappears once you start typing it, that's about it. Making your own lists couldn't be easier. It's a good app for practising spelling for weaker spellers. A more sophisticated test feature and pre-made lists and this would certainly be better.
- (2014-02-12) Galan Family: I don't even understand the point of this. You enter your word lists, and then click on "take a test". The "test" lists the word for you... then you are supposed to type the word in. It times you and gives you a score at the end. But how is this supposed to help you test spelling words? It gives you the word. Right there in front of you. So, really you just copy it. I don't get it, it should say the word or something. Waste of time. Unusable for any type of testing.
