- (2019-07-07) Cory Pollard: Works exactly as described. Easy to set-up, worked on all my different OS's; Chrome OS, Windows and Linux.

- (2018-05-23) Ivan Braddock: unable to get it to work and unable to turn it of..
- (2018-04-13) The latest version of Chrome for Windows refuses to allow this app to install citing that only Chrome Store apps can be installed, the problem is that this app is not available for the Windows version of Chrome. I needed to do an Google search to find the .crx file for this app, and 5 of the 6 File Hosting Providers for this app are reporting that this file no longer exists on their servers.
- (2018-04-10) Tim Burson: Would like to give it a 5 star, as it works great as long as I can run LanFolder on both Chrome and Windows. However, there appears to be no way to install on Windows as either an APP or as a Chrome EXTENSION. An internet search for LanFolder finds a German website that RUNS Lanfolder but does not install. "lanfolder.com" is dead and email to support is also dead. Anyone know how to install on Windows 10?
- (2017-11-12) A Land: seems to work fine between chromebook and windows
- (2017-10-28) Graham Jones: Doesn't work. Even switching off the firewall doesn't help. It just does not do what it says it does.
- (2017-09-21) Carson: Extremely glitchy. Will not open fully in Windows to allow adjustments to shared folders, and does not list in Programs in the Control Panel for uninstalling. Behavior makes this VERY SUSPECT. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!
- (2017-07-28) Geoffrey Rivis: Quick to set up works well.
- (2017-06-13) Non Com: Crippleware. Do not bother. The developer's website is down and there's no way to pay for the premium version.
- (2017-01-06) greg heil: Killed & Rebooted my ChromeBook every time i attempted to use it. Not just an ordinary kill: it wiped out ALL the open windows. Very tedious to resurect them. i did this three times before removing LF, as dangerous, from my system. Back to sneaker net:-( Oh attachments in entries of Chrome's 'Draft' folder works a charm for single files too:) Better luck on finding a file xfer system!
- (2016-12-12) Larry Dailey: This app works as advertised. It would be better, as mentioned by others, if there were more sorting options and if folders could be more easily transferred. And, it only works (as the name suggests) on the local network, not from remote internet locations. That said, I love it! 1. Install and launch -- as a Chrome app -- on all of the computers that you wish to share. 2. Transfer files! 3. I find myself using this in conjunction with Google Remote Desktop. I do my file searches, etc., using the Google tool so that I can search via the connected computer's native interface. Then I close Remote Desktop and transfer the files with LanFolder. I've even used Remote Desktop to launch LanFolder on the connected computer. The limited, free version give you an idea of how it works. I purchased the full version, and find it worth the price. It saves many trips up and down the stairs.
- (2016-11-08) Jeffrey Norden: Might be good for some, but pretty useless for me. It is easy/fast to install and setup. But: 1) The interface provides no way to transfer a whole folder of files, just individual files one at a time. Not helpful for a folder with 1300 jpeg's, for example. The only option seems to be "use native browser.." but that will only transfer to a chromebook, not from one. 2) Files are displayed in a seemingly random order - no option to sort by name or date. Again, not helpful for a Downloads folder with hundreds of items when you are trying to find a specific one. 3) No pogress bar while a large file is transferring, so no way to tell when it will be done. 4) The web page mentions a purchase to allow more features? There doesn't seem to be any evidence of this in the app.
- (2016-09-28) Robert Klebes: No documentation, says you need to have their app installed and running on other machines but no link to get it, official site links back to the app store itself. This last in particular is extremely suspicious and raises a serious red flag, especially on an application that requires such extensive permissions due to its nature.
- (2016-08-23) Excellent App. Just what Chrome users have been waiting for. Easy to set up and for only £3 it's fully unlocked. Well worth it!
