EZ Shortcut Search is a lightweight and efficient Chrome extension designed to make searching faster and more convenient. It adds two simple ways to search Google for highlighted text on any webpage:
Keyboard Shortcut: Highlight any text and press Alt+Shift+F (or Command+Shift+F on Mac) to open a new tab with a Google search for that text.
Context Menu: Right-click on any highlighted text and select "Search Google for..." to perform the search instantly.

This extension operates on a zero-data-saved principle. It does not collect, store, or transmit any of your browsing history, search queries, or personal information. All actions are performed locally on your machine, ensuring your privacy remains intact.

In order to change the key binding of the "EZ Shortcut Search" extension, you'll need to go to Chrome's extension shortcuts page.
Here's how to do it:
Open your Chrome browser.
Navigate to the extensions management page by typing chrome://extensions in the address bar.
Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
Select "Keyboard shortcuts" from the menu.
Find "EZ Shortcut Search" in the list.
Click the pencil icon next to the "Search highlighted text on Google" command.
Press the new key combination you want to use.
The new shortcut is automatically saved.
Or:
Press Alt + E or Alt + F to open the Chrome menu.
Use the arrow keys to navigate down to "Extensions."
Select "Keyboard shortcuts" from the submenu.
Or:
you can manually type chrome://extensions/shortcuts into the address bar and press Enter.
