A browser extension to eliminate distractions on YouTube, including the recommended sidebar, shorts, endscreen video suggestions, user comments, homepage related videos feed, trending tab, turn off autoplay or annotations, and more. Toggle the options through the popup to customize your own YouTube experience!
Compatible with mobile YouTube, m.youtube.com, through Firefox on Android. Also works on video embeds.

- Thank you so much for this! Not only does it help me not get distracted from studying, it also just helps alot with my mental health. I'm tired of constantly getting political content or rage bait videos in my recomended despite not watching any of them and shutting it off has been the equivilant of getting peace and quiet.

- Absolutely love this extension. Whenever I want to sit down to study for something in youtube, I have this turned on so that I focus on the video/tutorial and nothing on the sides. Also, I search for the videos that I need for studying and dont get distracted. Must have for anyone who studies from youtube sources and anyone who is chronically addicted to you yt like me

- Thank you for making this, I realized that I keep having like 50 YouTube tabs piled up, and I NEED to watch all of it, but I realized I need to stop getting into this loop, then I found this great extension! Not perfect, but definitely helps!

- Doesn't have but 2 options and those are stopping auto play and stop annotations... Blocking annotations does not work...

- BEST EXTENSION EVER!! Youtube removed the autoplay feature below the music videos & on the your personal channel. So every time I clicked a music video there would be an automatic mix playlist which I didn't want. Unhook fixes that by giving you the option to disable not just autoplay but remove recommendations & so much more as well!

- Edit: Over a year later, disable autoplay still does not work for non-playlists. Review: Downloaded to use the disable autoplay feature. It only disables the feature from being activated/deactivated, it does not prevent a video from automatically starting to play.

- For probably a week now, when I "hide recommended", it results in a circular loading animated icon in the area where recommended videos used to be.

- Great app I really wish it gave the option to hide shorts on the subscriptions tab. Just need to change a tiny piece of HTML. Was able to do it in inspect element in about 10 seconds, obviously not permanently but really quick change just adding "in" in front of "visible" on a line.
