- A perpetual "timer" in the form of a chimer. I think most people need this. It's not much different from a classic clock. However, using the chime used in airplanes means you get a short duration reminder to check-in with yourself. If studying, focus, or concentration are issues in some way, this is less mental work/overhead than picking a number of Pomodoro sessions and specifying your work and rest periods. With this app, any period is work or rest, and you get a short, simple reminder to check-in on your timing at fixed intervals. Excellent. You can work through a chime, or pause. Also, there is not "clock/timer/countdown" to watch or keep in the background. In Pomodoro, the ticking timer itself add a layer of pressure. I recommended setting this to 12 minutes, or something up to 20 minutes. With 12 minutes, you get 5 chimes per hour, and it's not to short for a focus session nor too long for a break.
