Initial 5 star review: The app functions excellently with effortless setup. While it lacks any customizable configuration, it effectively filters out shorts from my subscriptions and search results. It's worth noting that shorts still appear on individual channel pages, and a dedicated shorts tab is conveniently available for intentional short video viewing. What sets this app apart is its respect for user privacy. In contrast to certain other extensions that demand excessive permissions, this one solely requests access to browser history and data on youtube.com. This focused approach is truly appreciated. Thank you!

I hope the author rolls back these changes. Otherwise, in the current state I have to give this a bad review so it isn't being pushed to people as a top suggestion. Note, the author has addressed this permission change (insufficiently in my opinion) with this comment in the latest releast notes: "New in version 0.6.0:" "It is now possible to activate/deactivate Shorts by clicking on the extension icon while the YouTube page is opened." "NOTE: The extension requires more permissions because of that feature. Chrome will disable the extension until you accept them. Sorry for the inconvenience :/"

And unless the … other … more prominent … extension THIS one does not want intrusive permissions to read browser history or read and write data on all pages, but just on youtube.com. Thanks!
• (2023-08-21) Donovan Nguyen: It used to be 100% a 5 star extension, before it now suddenly needing to read my browsing history and manage my apps, extensions and themes. It has no need for this and I uninstalled it immediately.
