ALTer is a tool that injects alt text into the title tag for images. Hover over any element with an 'img' tag, that image will dim by 50% and a tool tip will appear that displays the text of the alt tag. Toggle the tool off and on by clicking the icon in your toolbar.

- (2019-01-23) Mr. Lance E Sloan: I had high hopes for this extension. I liked that the description said it could be activated by clicking the toolbar icon. After it was installed, I saw that it had very good icon and color indicators to show whether it was active. However, it failed to show the img alt values. I tried it with a very simple example: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_image_test It never shows the "Smiley face" alt text. I'm very disappointed.
- (2017-10-23) Works perfect! I have to check alt tags and this turns it into a tooltip on hover, making it so much easier.
