Jennifer Molina 2025-04-06: Needs an update. It keeps logging out every time we try to log in. I'm also using Lenovo Chromebook. Version on Chromebook is 5.01. Version on Google Play on my phone is 6.4.3. Yes, it definitely needs to allow an updated version for Chromebook

La Meen 2023-07-13: Bad move Zoom. This sucks. Lets be as honest as possible. Zoom on Android is good. Zoom on Windows, even better. But Zoom on chromebooks? They sucked so hard if there was a negative rating, i'd give it. Instead of progressing, regressing. What's worse is Im paying for my subscription. Cant be lugging around a heavy laptop all the time. Teams and Meet are way better.

Sylvia Lesniewska 2022-08-15: Zoom was and still is very 'user unfriendly'. I guess it perhaps is useful to the pepople who created it but not to the wider public. I cannot see myself in the camera prior to the host staring the meeting so no way of checking in advance if there are any issue. Usually when the meeting starts the camera doesn'r want to work anyway (i have a new chromebook with integrated camera and all updates installed). I don't know whay people still use Zoom?

miss Livingston 2022-07-01: Not supported well by google chromebook. connectivity issues "too high usage" during calls and will cut out. I keep getting messasges that there is a new app so far I don't have a new app to use for Google Chromebook which is my preferred device. I end up using my phone for most meetings which works but allows for less movement and picture is not ideal.
Brenda Hall 2022-06-25: This does not work very well. I need to use my iPad for meetings because this app is too laggy. It's just like the commercial where someone is on the meeting talking and it keeps cutting out. Just the worst app I've ever used.

Jim Cotter 2022-04-28: Don't know if this will help anyone with Zoom and Chromebook however I run regular meetings in Zoom and found testing out a Chromebook due to complaints from other users that Zoom does not function well on a CHromebook. Now this is just my findings. 1. As a guest user it will not work and no download option present from Chrome Web store (to resolve I powerwashed the OS and recreated my account) 2. As a Guest user the screen would black out like a reset when attempting to access the Zoom login. Resolution: 1. Powerwash option selected and recreated account on Chromebook 2. From Chrome Web Store downloaded the Zoom plugin 3. Connected to Zoom logged in with no issues with audio, video and screen share Has been running error free ever since. 3 months thus far. Chrome book is a Lenovo C360. Hope this helps
Halden Ford 2022-04-15: I was using the website version and worked ok although with limited options. As suggested by Zoom, I downloaded the PWA and I got more options but I can't use it because of intense echoing. Hopefully they fix the problem or continue to support the website version.

Lucien Russell 2022-03-23: After a short period of time the application stops opening. Only fix I have determined currently is to uninstall and reinstall it, which I've done countless times.

Please add Playstore to the Chrome OS Flex, otherwise all Chrome web app will gone then the Chrome OS Flex cannot run any app

Why you didn't get any update after November 2021? Today is March 2022, please do something to add this feature. I knew a big company like you can make it easily.

I mean...I might have been negative at first but then I realised this is the best you can get out of a chrome extension, especially for Chromebooks. Well done zoom! I wish it had more features...but it works. Has all the essential features!
yuen0404 2022-02-23: To begin with, you need to download zoom from zoom.us. it will guide you to the correct website to download the app. Dont do it via google play. Second, I find that the laptop version is much better. If you are using chromebook duet by Lenovo, you can't do it on a tab at all. Third, some functions are missing such as annotation. I'm not a professional user but it is essential for teaching and presentation!!! Anyway, there's a huge space for improvement but a good start!
Jenny Joly 2022-02-16: When I downloaded Zoom to my new Chromebook, I could not connect to my meetings nor log-in through the app. Having never experience technical difficulties with Zoom on my older HP laptop, I decided to uninstall Zoom to see if a good ole reinstall would do the trick. I though it had work since I was able to log-in and create a meeting. However, when I closed and reopened the app, I was logged out and back as square one. I guess I'll stick to using the browser version instead.

Kristi Little 2022-01-22: It's missing options that are available on the windows version. Video settings and audio settings only have a few options. Can't share just audio only just the actual screen. No ability to switch to HD video, as now my external camera hook up looks stretched, lighten the video for dark rooms and high fidelity sound and original sound on option. These features are available with the windows client. I won't be able to use this to teach my music classes and have to go back to my windows computer.
