By pressing the left or right arrow keys on YouTube video player, the active element is changed to the progress bar. After that, pressing the space bar doesn't pause or play the video anymore.
It fixes the problem. With this extension, you can play or pause YouTube video with space bar even when the video is not focused.

- Used to work great but a few months back stopped working. Instead would immediately pause/unpause when pressed (or vice versa if the video was paused). And holding it just does the temporary 2x speed boost.

- Worked great! Until today, now it just advances a few frames and pauses again. Or makes it so you can only pause or only play. Don't know what changed.

- sometimes doesn't work after alt tabbing (requires me to click play/pause once and then starts working again) but sometimes it does

- regarding what Mike Bilel commented: "Edit: changed my score to 4/5 because sometimes pressing spacebar will scroll down. Maybe use js keydown to intercept spacebar and press 'k' virtually?". To reproduce that simply click on video's title, press tab and then try to use spacebar

- At first, it worked fine, but for some reason, sometimes it works, sometimes not, so I'm gonna just uninstall it now. I hope the "YouTube Space bar Fix", get fixed :)

- I often switch the video quality. I don't like that after I'm done, I have to click the mouse curser on a different part of the YouTube screen in order to reenable pause with space bar; if I don't do this, spacebar will reopen the cogwheel menu. This extension fixes the problem so that spacebar will always pause the videos. Thank you, jhaemin.com for creating this extension!
