They didn't get me cashback for my order from HP. This extension does not work every time. No correction from them. Unfortunately, it works as advertise only with some stores. Some cashbacks will newer add to your account.

It doesn't fully work as you'd expect. The seller you buy from must be IN THE Rakuten button program to even give us our percent back. Otherwise just stick to using the Rakuten page as a portal to login to your shopping sites. Customer service is a pain to deal with as not all online orders send us confirmation emails. I am a BIG shopper on the AliExpress site where I am a Diamond member. I shop for stuff as little as 1¢ to as much as $1500. The most annoying thing about the Rakuten program is they use the USD number value to calculate CDN incentives. But they don't give it back to us in the equivalent. Example is AliExpress is a 2.75% refund site. If I buy a $100 CDN item, they won't give me back $2.75. They convert the number into a USD number ($72.85) and calculate it from a USD amount. So I'll only get $2.00 instead of $2.75. Which may not seem like much but remember I said I bought items as much as $1500. Twice infact a 60v 2000W eBike and a 60v 5000W eScooter. Both times I had to fight customer service and wait upto 6 months to get the $30+ for each purchase put into my account. Technically I'm still waiting to get the $$ for the eScooter. They were suppose to give it to me in my February payout but because of this pending battle, they pushed it to the May payout instead. The sellers must be IN THE Rakuten program and must acknowledge the sale before we get the promised refunds. The two sellers I bought the eBike and eScooter from. Both were not part of the button program and both did not acknowledge the sale. I bought the eBike in 2021 and it took til 2022 to get the Rakuten refund put into my account. The eScooter I bought last year summer and I'm still waiting to get it in my account.

Extension is handy but I really wish it had a whitelist option so that one can tell the button to not activate on some sites. Every time I visit my bank the button blinks and flashes and has the popup - it is not relevant! But there is no way to avoid it. I also wish you could disable the popup entirely and only have the blink, I will click it if I care, I don't want the popup.

There is no "pending cash back" tab in the Canadian version of the extensions. Quite a lot of times, getting the cash back isn't automatic either. I too often have to submit a missing cashback request.

Why wouldn't anyone want to get a real cheque in the mail for shopping on line. Disappointed in Amazon to credit for buying books now, so I switched to bookout.ca now that they are connected to Rakuten. Love this site!!!!

It's nice to have this in your shortcut bar notifying you when you visit a site that qualifies for Rakuten rewards. However as soon as you activate Rakuten on that site, it completely reloads the page and takes you to the main webpage for the merchant you were looking at, completely losing the page you were originally on. For that reason alone I am deleting the extension as it's causing more headaches than convenience.

Saves you money!!

I do love the Rakuten extension but my one gripe would be that although I have added my usual online retailers to my adblock whitelist through Rakuten over and over again the next time I'm shopping on that site I know I will have to do it again. .It's not a long process but it is extremely frustrating.

It's essentially a rebate program without all the paperwork. Very happy with it, though it was better when Amazon.ca was included. Coupons, in addition to the rebate, can help lower the cost of a purchase. It could be better, but I'm happy enough to use it.

It worked fine for an Ancestry purchase, but locks me up in other sites.

I love the cash back and the coupon 'creep' feature. I don't think they do much with Amazon anymore because of my last like... 40 Amazon orders... almost zero of them qualified for Rakuten purchases...

I've been using Rakuten (Ebates before) for years and I just love how easy it has been to get rewarded for the online shopping I needed to do anyway.

I always use Rakuten/ebates! Now it is even easier...they tell you that they have found coupons, and alert you whenever you go on a site that you can apply Rakuten on. Forever a member here!

Raketun is amazing. Customer service is quick and service is amazing. If you do not get the percentage, you just contact them and they give it to you with proof. Also notifies you of any active coupons. Only have good things to say about it!

As always, Rakuten has found the best price for me, and gives me serious cashback too. I love Rakuten!

Great extension to Chrome. I've been using Rakuten since the Ebates television advertising days. Love it and have received a good amount of cash back from the service.

So easy, it should be a crime if you don't shop through Rakuten! I love that when I start online shopping, Rakuten opens up automatically and looks for extra coupons while I'm checking out - I never miss an opportunity to make money while buying things I was going to purchase anyway! Keep up the great work!

This was great. I found my product at the Bay and compared it to another big box store. Pretty much the same price in both stores. The Bay offered a bigger Rakuten rebate. When I was checking out, the Rakuten app stepped in and searched for a promo discount and saved me $25. Between that and the rebate, I'm up about $33 on a purchase that was originally $178.

As a Service it's great but the extension needs work. Automatically activates cash back on some sites but not Amazon for example so I have to go through the actual site.

I always find good deals through Rakuten. It is a good site to get some cash back. Works fine on computer as well as on phone.

I have already saved almost $ 75 and I've only been doing this since mid-fall, on things I buy anyway. My neighbour was recommended this by his accountant. Well worth it.
