AI chat apps like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and Gemini keep every message permanently rendered in the DOM. After a long session you can have thousands of elements sitting in memory, causing sluggish scrolling, slow responses, and a browser that feels like it's wading through mud.
ChatBonsai fixes this by virtualizing off-screen messages — trimming what your browser holds in memory while you chat, and silently restoring messages the moment you scroll back to them.
