Latin for 'Remember your death', Memento Mori is a powerful concept that's been used for centuries to help people focus on what truly matters.
The calendar was designed as an interactive tool to help you harness the concept by visualizing your life week by week. Therefore the extension replaces the default new page with the calendar. Each time you open a new tab, the calendar will be shown to remind you of your own mortality.
From Seneca to Steve Jobs, Leo Tolstoy to Charles Darwin, high achieving individuals use a hyperawareness of their mortality to accomplish more and live better.

Being aware of your mortality may sound scary, but it’s an extremely effective catalyst for reflection and change. It puts all the things that don’t matter into perspective, melts away fears, and clears a path for you to focus on what's truly important.

- I love the concept, I wish this could somehow be integrated with "Minimal New Tab Clock", some kind of new tab randomizer would be super cool because I sometimes forget what time it is... other times I let slip by the weeks I'm living... and sometimes I just want a good wallpaper to look at. Etc.

- Awesome! The entire design is similar to the Stoic Reflection calendar. There is a bug/not optimized screen height size if your screen < 1000px where the memento mori calendar exceeds the screen height and it would be better if there was a dark mode feature, Thanks for made this extension.

- The SENECA quote is wrong/typoed. The correct one is: "It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested" Also yes It calculates incorrectly as well.

- I love the concept of this home page....but yeah it's not accurately showing the number of weeks in the calendar when you put in your birthday...it is off by about 7 weeks, would love to see a fix!

- I really like this calendar, really practical, thanks for making it free. But like others said before, it marks me 5 weeks ahead comparing to my date of birth, other than that it's great, would be perfect if the few weeks ahead bug would be fixed.

- I really like this extension and the idea of it. I can see it sticking around and keeping it for my arsenal of favorite extensions. My only issue with it is that it is not entirely accurate, after putting in my DOB, it's marking my calendar 5 weeks ahead.

- I find this to be buggy. After entering my birth date (in may), I see this extension has already gone ahead and marked the year complete and then some. Right now, on march 28 2021, it is showing I am past the year and 2 weeks. I will not complete the year until after 7 weeks. This extension is at least 9 weeks ahead according to me
