Feb 2024: Now that I've had it installed, I have noticed that YouTube playback speed doesn't allow me to change it unless I turn off this extension. Not a big problem because this extension allows the same features and custom speed, but just something to note.

I would love customizable shortcuts (besides fixed one that come with the extension) but that's really nothing. I'd love to see more from the developer, thanks again!

This is why have removed an additional star. Works as expected, but ... - completely deactivates regular speed controls (e. g. on Youtube) even if switched off - too small hotkey steps for increasing / decreasing (just 1%). Using A/D with greater or user defined steps (1.25, 1.33, 1.5, 1.67, 2 etc.) would be more usable.
