- (2025-04-26) Sean Blair: This extension didn't work for me at all. Even though I installed both the browser extension and the Extension Helper from the settings in the Surfed Mac app, Surfed still apparently thinks the browser extension hasn't been installed yet, as the settings now say, "Make sure the Surfed browser extension is installed in your browser" next to a yellow caution symbol. Over In the browser, the extension initially seemed to be running fine since there were no error messages or anything, but I eventually realized that it wasn’t saving any of the changes I made to the settings—changes like, you know, turning the browsing history on!!! But no matter which settings I toggled on or how many times I did so, the switches would always be toggled back off whenever I checked them again. It's also worth noting that I had this exact same experience on two separate computers—an M4 Mac mini and a brand new M4 MacBook Air—over a week apart, so this isn't just a one-off.
