Transparent Peacock Overlays
Description from store

Makes the overlays for the peacock web player transparent. The default gradient covers too much of the video. After removing the background manually a few times, I figured I'd make an extension for it instead.

Apologies for the screenshot. The peacock web player blacks out any attempt to produce a worthwhile screenshot for copyright purposes I imagine, but the chrome web store requires a screenshot be added. Can't really tell, given the black background, that the overlay is transparent.

Works great for removing that awful black bar that eats the bottom quarter of the screen whenever I move my mouse.

This is perfect... thank you!

Works well so far! What a massive improvement for a terrible UI on Peacock's part.

Perfect! Exactly what I need. It bothered me pausing videos and not being able to read the bottom so I would rewind a bit and wait for it to disappear at the exact time which was so annoying and difficult.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to change exactly, but it doesn't seem to be working properly. The bottom navigation bar is the worst offender on PeacockTV, as it pops up whenever you do anything and covers a good chunk of the screen — including scores and such in the Olympics. I was hoping this would fix it, but it doesn't seem to work. Kudos for trying I guess?

This works for the top portion of the overlay which is great, but it doesn't make the lower portion of the screen overlay transparent though. So it half works. The lower part of the screen is the one that's really annoying, especially when pausing sports or the Olympics and you want to see the names on pause and you can't because they're at the bottom of the screen...

Doesn't work! Tried restarting Chrome and still doesn't work. Always on for PeacockTV too.

This is awesome and just works! I wonder what the UI/UX designers and the engineers were thinking when they designed and implemented those huge black bar and gradients which stay on for eternity and cover like half of the video! :D Thank you for fixing their mistake

Exactly what I'm looking for but doesn't seem to work. Overlay is transparent for a split second on load and then back to normal. Chrome for Windows 10, Version 124.0.6367.61 (Official Build) (64-bit). Disabled all other extensions and restarted my PC and still no luck. Any other ideas?
