Don't like the new Google AI overviews appearing in your search results? Perhaps you don't like the discussions section or the shopping blocks or even the sponsored links? This extension lets you hide them. It simply uses CSS to set those areas of the page to be hidden (display="none").
AI overviews are hidden by default but the options menu lets you choose what else you might want to hide: Videos, Discussion blocks, shopping blocks, "readers also ask" and sponsored blocks are also available to hide. Note that, if Google changes its CSS, we'll have to update the extension to keep pace.
You can also search the Google web results tab from your address bar by hitting w + space and then entering your query.
Version 2.0: Eliminates new mid-page (after the first result) AI Overviews
Version 1.8: Fixes bug where AI overviews that appeared in the middle of the page were not being blocked.
Version 1.5: Adds support for Danish, Portuguese and Dutch. Fixes bug where blocking video sometimes blocked other blocks on People pages.
Version 1.4: Adds support for 16 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin (Trad + Simplified), Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, Hindi, Thai, Greek, Italian, Polish and Russian.

- Solid extension, five stars. No complaints at all. Google has recently deigned to start trying to give me suggested AI searches *directly from the search bar*, in any new tab I open, however. I, for obvious reasons, dislike this. Here's hoping this segment gets the dev's attention and a patch is made, if possible!

- I can still access AI Overview but, it blocks out most Ai junk. I see that the Dev, keeps on fixing and upgrading every single time their is a problem. I love how people are waking up and seeing AI is very terrible to the environment. As a indigenous person, I am happy, people still care about earth. <3 Oops I didn't add {google:baseURL}/search?udm=14&q=%s to my extension and made it default. It works 100% now. Read carefully guys lol!

- Used to be good but it stopped working. Still gonna give it 5 stars because I know the Dev will try to fix it and should be encouraged to do so. (AI results fill in the "People Also Ask" section now, and also forces itself in at the top when you click on an image to do a search on it).

- The best. Please Share! AI has returned queries not asked for due to "auto second guessing". Worse, it can return unwanted results that might put innocent researchers on a list, like students writing papers on sensitive subjects. Use Google Scholar or White Paper sites for those.

- This extension is incredibe! However, I removed 1 star because when I opened a tab for people also search, I saw the AI overview. Luckily, it does remove most of the AI overview stuff.

- This is an absolute necessity given googles insistence on forcing ai into your life with no tools provided to disable it. Ai should be a Feature, set to be toggled off and on, NOT the top search result. "Do no evil" more like "Do every evil imaginable"

- The fact that Google doesn't allow you to turn off its AI Overviews is absolutely insane. It is wrong SO often, like genuinely 80% of the time it is straight up, not only wrong but CONFIDENTLY wrong. I seriously cannot believe Google haven't been sued for it. Imagine you're asking for health advice and this thing tells you you are fine when you clearly need to see a doctor. It also steals views from struggling websites that survive off of views and clicks. AI Overviews are the first domino in a long line of negative outcomes that AI is going to create for humanity. Whoever is in charge at Google and decided to allow this should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
