Your AI-powered vertical tabs manager for browsing. Alternative to Arc's Sidebar/Edge's Vertical Tabs.
It allows you to have more control over your web browsing experience by effectively managing multiple tabs at once.
π How do vertical tabs work?
Enabling the vertical tabs setting moves your open tabs from the top of your browser window (above the address bar) to the left side of the window. This allows the tabs to be displayed vertically, stacked one on top of the other, instead of horizontally.

π The advantages of vertical tabs
Vertical tabs are an effective solution for avoiding clutter in your browser window and maximizing your on-screen space. Additionally, they enhance tab visibility for easier identification.
PS: Side Space is a futuristic vertical tab manager that can only be used with Chrome version 114 or above.

- (2025-04-02) Hanosz Prime: Love the extension! One thing that could make a better user experience, is when tabs are asleep, at the moment the favicon is turned into a grey Power symbol, and this makes it slightly more challenging when searching for tabs because its difficult to differentiate between tabs when the favicons, which help a great deal when scanning for your tab, are no longer visible. I use brave browser, and one of the native features of brave browser is when a tab is put to sleep, instead of the favicon disappearing, there appears a dotted circle around the favicon to indicate that it's asleep. Please make a feature like this some way! Also, a feature that I find useful is one that I see in SideTab Pro extension, where you can select tabs with check boxes, and group or ungroup or open in new windows, or to put suspend all selected tabs, or to suspend all tabs within a group. I've been switching between using TabShelf and sideTab Pro, and this one, and they all have unique features and would. be awesome if one could do it all haha. Such as open tab in new group with the plus sign hover over the group header like in Sidetab, and also the filter by window option that is available in Tab Shelf is nice. and color coding different window groups.

- (2025-01-21) Brett Peary: Great extension! Finding out how to put in on the left was way too hard! https://www.sidespace.app/blog/how-to-change-the-location-of-side-panel-in-chrome
- (2025-01-02) Daniel Rojas: Please add the option to close a tab / group with the middle mouse button / wheel button pressed down
- (2024-11-19) Cindy Corritore: Just got it. Don't have time to experiment a lot - where can I find a tutorial or documentation so I can get started fast? Didn't see anything like this on the website. For example, if I create a new space, how do I move to it? Can't evaluate it correctly as I can't use it yet Thanks - CC
- (2024-11-08) Erick Xavier: Hey, I like the extension, and I got some suggestions: - Allow us to remove the dark pixelized bg - Allow us to change shortcut to access it - Show shortcut based on OS, I'm on WIndows and I see the OSX shortcut on the welcome screen? Now I dont know how to access it quickly.
- (2024-10-26) Markus GΓΆgele: Very nice extension. Unfortunately for me the "Group By AI" does not work. There is only a spinner in the button. I also have other suggestions: - Rename Tab Groups - An entry "Create new Group" when moving a Tab - Multiple selection in order to move many tabs at once - Drag and drop tabs in order to reorder/move them - Make the background of the dark theme a solid color to make the text more readable. Great work!
- (2024-10-22) Pro Dev: Awesome but can you add the ability to set a theme for the open tabs window? It only works for new spaces and when I close/open it then it goes back to the open tabs window with black theme
- (2024-10-22) j b: this is pretty cool, thank you!
- (2024-10-16) Mariusz Batorowicz: Looks very good!
- (2024-09-11) Mariusz Nowak: It's getting there, but still misses some crucial features: - Renaming tabs - Creating folders manually (just AI grouping is far from enough, and mostly useless, it should be first manual grouping then eventually AI grouping, but I don't think the latter is that useful, more a marketing thing) I've stopped using it once I learned above is not supported. Also it's not clear to me how it works across multiple Chrome windows. Ideally if each window is treated distinctly with capability of having individual setup. Additionally having the configurations stored should be there so we can either duplicate it in other windows, or easily restore in case of restart or browser crash. Author should setup some patronite I'd love to contribute financially to this project
- (2024-09-05) γγΏγγ€γ: Not support mutil windows.
- (2024-08-29) Noah Stambovsky: Excellent functionality, vast improvement on other vertical tab apps. My one URGENT piece of criticism: Please give me a way of accessing my extensions and the address bar in the side bar. I go full screen with no tool bar. This replaces the toolbar 90 ish percent. I still need a way of entering my URL or search when I open a new tab, AND I would LOVE a way of using my extensions/plugins from this sidebar. Also a way of accessing my hidden grouped tabs? which currently show up in the bookmarks bar, but not in side space.
- (2024-06-24) Bob Kats: I like it. Seems to do what it's supposed to, why I installed it for the most part. But then it says create and account, which I did, well thought I did, then thought I didn't and then realized I did - The Sign up page needs better messaging. Anyway signed up and verified via email (I think) but I cannot login at all. go to login put in my email and password and click sign-in button and nothing. Is something supposed to happen, b/c nothing. I realize beta, and that's why it's a 3 star for now. would like to get this working across devices. I DO NOT login to google unless checking email or like now, leaving a review, and I definitely NEVER login to Chrome, so this would be great to use, since Workona sucks now.
- (2024-05-08) Jeremy Gilmore: Am I missing something or is there a way to put the side bar on the left side instead of the right? I see this in the product images, but yeah... otherwise exactly what I was looking for. I do wonder how this will continue to stand out when Chrome evvvvvvennnntuually brings us vertical tabs like most other browsers now. Happy to have this option today though :) EDIT: The option to put it on the left is in chrome settings -> Appearance --> Sidebar
- (2024-03-31) Thomas Quinlan: This works like a charm. I installed it, clicked "Group by AI", and seconds later I had a list of various tab groups all on the right side of my browser (you can choose left in Chrome preferences) just like I wanted. While the AI grouping isn't 100%, that's down to the AI and not the developers. It works really well, looks good, and even managed to find ten duplicate tabs (!) that I had open that it offered to close for me. (I took it up on the offer.) It didn't touch my pinned tabs and even put little icons at the top for all those. (It leaves the tabs at the top as well, not something I initially expected or wanted, but I'm okay with it and I don't know that it could be changed.) My browser looks better than it ever has before and there's a handy search bar as well!
- (2024-03-22) Chien Thanh: There are a few minor bugs such as the scroll bar appearing twice when there are multiple tabs, adding the option to move tabs to the left, customize tab width, display close tab button when hovering over. Extension is very nice, I look forward to the next update
- (2024-02-29) Olivia Farrell: I subscribed to the lifetime license right away b/c I liked the concept and the price point was great. I have an obsession, perhaps OCD, that causes me to search for the perfect option for everything. In this case, I have a long list of criteria for my perfect browser, and by extension, management of my bookmarks, tabs, sessions, etc. As such, I have tried a ton of tab mgmt extensions in a lot of different browsers searching for the "perfect" combination in my precious little time. I often end up just using something for a period of months because the combo I was using started acting up or something. That was how I stumbled on your extension. I was not sure that this was going to be the ultimate solution for me, but I saw myself using this for sometime. I fully admit that I often have a lot of tabs open that I like to have grouped. I have ADHD and am easily distracted, so I save tabs and sessions frequently as a way to memorialize a point in time when something distracts me. I try to clean them up, back them up, export them, and keep the total data file size low as to not overload the system, following a massive data loss with a prior product. I mention this b/c it was several days before I even realized that I was not able to scroll thru the vertical list. It seems that what you see is what you get. If the tab you want to look at is beyond the number that physically fits vertically on the screen in the list, you can not see it. On the other vertical sidebars, I usually can scroll thru the list, to at a minimum see the tabs opened in the current window, but generally, to see the tabs opened in every window. I know I can select the tab by going to the regular horizontal tab bar, but that is not what I want to do. I have tried different browsers (Chrome Beta, Edge Beta) and had the same issue. Is this how the extension is supposed to function or is there a setting somewhere that can be changed so that I can do what I am describing? I'd really like to use this extension, but this 1 issue is a real inconvenience. I'm hoping you can tell me there is something I can do on my end to fix this b/c that would be really helpful.
- (2024-02-08) Alexander Juskovic: It takes some getting used to but I think I will use it long term. It is better than others.
- (2024-01-29) Kit T: Must leave a review after first time used & purchased Early Bird alrd. Cool! But please make minimal & colorable UI same as SideTab Pro - Vertical Tabs. Also please make Mobile / Tablet App / Safari Extention to sync with Bookmarks on Mobile / Tablet with Share Shorcut without any typing Save action (Toby need), I always research on Mobile and Tablet. Bookmarks / Tabs / Notes / Todolist are must things should go together. Hope it usefull after I purchased this awesome extension.
- (2024-01-18) StickNik: Good base, dislike the need to login for multiple spaces, but is in beta and seem to be developing premium features, so just a login isn't the worst if you end up liking. Could do with more usability UI/UX improvements and polish. General design looks good at a glance, but could remove more of the bezel/margins so that tab titles have wider horizontal space to be read, and you could potentially make grouped tabs being indented a toggle option and have a vertical line of the groups colour along the left of the tabs. Need the ability to multi-select tab with shift/control+click usage. Groups work well otherwise, auto-group options are good whether AI or domain-based, and you can suspend tabs or close duplicate tabs (close duplicates would be even better if you could see the tabs being deleted or confirm which to delete, I had for example the same tab in 2 different groups, would've wanted to delete the one in the other group, maybe keep one duplicate which was a dynamic page with same url but different contents that would be nice to whitelist or something). Having option to import/export tabs is a stellar option. More sorting options like by tab age or name I imagine would be useful but I'd use rarely or on specific windows. Right-click menu can be buggy and be cut-off by sidebar border, becoming unusable. Pinned tab squares are good but could also have a toggle to be full width. Good luck with further dev.
- (2024-01-08) Francisc Apostu Traian: Really awesome! Thanks! How can I move it from the right side to the left side?
- (2024-01-03) Lea: Vertical tabs have completely changed the way I browse the internet. The AI-powered tab grouping is surprisingly accurate, making my workflow smoother. If you're tired of cluttered tabs, give this a shot β you won't be disappointed!
- (2023-12-23) Ali Reza: you need to sign in to create spaces, that's a big no for me and what's with this stupid dark theme, it doesn't match the chrome default dark theme
- (2023-11-17) Malanore Bal'a Dash: I like this sidebar extension because it can coexist with the browser window, so I don't have to worry about it disappearing when switching tabs. The pinned tab design is really great, and the grouping feature based on domain names is very practical. I hope more useful features can be added. ππ
