With one click of a button, you can now find what you're actually looking for when searching on YouTube! This extension stops YouTube from showing you those "People Also Watched", "For You" and "Suggested" videos when you search for something.
This is helpful for when you are searching for something on YouTube and the first few search results aren't what you're looking for.
You can now go back to how YouTube used to be with the Better YouTube Search extension!

- For those checking this out, it 100% works. It isn't enabled by default, but just clicking the extension, the only option is a big toggle to turn on. Looks like all these people leaving the 1 star reviews took the time to write a review, but didn't click the extension even once to see the settings. Update: I noticed I'm not getting playlists in the search results, which is a shame. If that was added, even as a toggle, it would be perfect.

- While it does not completely eliminate unwanted search results, they will appear lower down the list than before, and their number will be less than before the introduction of the system.

- It DOES work but when you install the extension you must first open it and turn it on from there, it's not on by default. This is a great extension and would be perfect if the page didn't reload every time I searched.

- Unfortunately doesn't work for me even upon activating but turns out you can simply block such results with uBlock: ##ytd-shelf-renderer.ytd-item-section-renderer.style-scope

- works fine, most people probably don't realize you have to manually enable it by clicking the icon after installing also a slight problem, for some reason when i try to search for a specific youtuber only videos pop up and not the channels. I have no idea why this is happening but its really frustrating because this extension would be perfect if that didn't happen

- Works as advertised. Restarted Chrome and made sure to turn on the extension. It got rid of the annoying "ADHD" search problems after five results

- This extension works great! Just had to close and reopen chrome after I installed the extension to get it to work. Now I just wish it also removed Youtube Shorts from my search results.

- Amazing work, thank you so much! For anyone who says it doesn't work... try clicking on the extension icon and then turn it on. Afterwards if you refresh Youtube and search for something it works. When I tried to reload a search page I already had opened before I turned it on, it didn't, which might be the issue of others.

- I dont want to give it 1 star, because it is exactly what I want...... if it worked. I dont want to see an algorithm when I'm searching, I want to be able to search for exact phrases and if theyre not there, be told it doesnt exist. This did not work as described. When searching I still got the "for you" and the "people also watched" after a few results. I closed my window, restarted my computer, etc etc. The extension doesnt work. For context, I'm running a Macbook Pro with the most up to date software.
