- (2025-06-16) Victoria Husted: The moment I reloaded the page I swear I felt my eyes melt out of relief. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!
- (2025-06-14) Anonymous: Pretty good, some white spots, but still much better than before.
- (2025-06-09) Montee McCormick: Helpful for working after the sunset, even though I'm a fan of darkened windows all around. No bugs seen, running 136.0.7103.114
- (2025-06-02) Caroline Barnette: A little patchy, but it's still very helpful to reduce eye strain. So good for late nights!! Edit: Someone named Diana on Feb 23, 2025 provided a fix for the white spots, idk if it still works tho :(
- (2025-03-13) John Omweg: Darkens the font too much and many tiles and popups are still white. Tables are still white and headers for columns are white too - can't see them. Developer need to use canvas and enhance extension for easy visibility of all text.
- (2025-02-24) Diana: I figured out how to fix the white patches! This extension is perfect after this! To make all websites dark mode in Google Chrome, you can enable "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents". This is an experimental feature that may change or be removed in the future. To enable "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents": Open Google Chrome In the address bar, type "chrome://flags" and press Enter Search for "dark mode" Find "Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents" and select "Enabled" Relaunch the browser

- (2025-01-16) Steven D Budd: A huge help especially when doing homework at night. It's not perfect, there are somethings that stay white, but it's definitely better than being burned by a white screen as your eyes melt in their sockets (hyperbole was used in this review).
- (2025-01-15) Brijhette Farmer: Saving my eyes while still being very readable! Thank you so much.
- (2024-12-10) plackton: absolute eye saver
- (2024-12-06) Jacob Meddings: Cool Beans, gonna be using this throughout college
- (2024-11-07) World: you saved a high schoolers life from actual eye strain thank you vro π€π€π€
- (2024-10-20) Sam Chicoine: click button, eyes saved
- (2024-10-06) the_meerkat13: Thank you so much for making this. I tried some regular dark-mode apps, but they all seem buggy right now. Then I read online that there was one specifically for Canvas. Which is the only website I consistently use that still blinds me. Anyway, this extension looks fantastic and makes late assignments so much more pleasant.
- (2024-09-22) Luke Warner: Love it! I can't say how much better I feel now that my eyes aren't burnt to a crisp for doing hw late at night. Thank you!
- (2024-09-19) Rowan: While using this extension it has been amazing, as a student who does all their classes online and is on the computer for hours, it has helped remove that additional eye strain. I use dark mode for almost every device I use. I do have one complaint, when the extension is active when I pull up the side bar for my classes, everything is white. I cannot read anything, there was a change in the character letter to accomodate the black screen, but some portions are still white with now white characters. So it is impossible to read. Otherwise it is great, but there is that one problem I have. I am still using the extension but I do toggle between having it off and on to just read certain spots.
- (2024-09-16) AB Fairweather: LIFE. SAVER. No more getting flash banged when I'm trying to submit my assignment at 11:59pm.
- (2024-09-11) Bryson Williams: This works on most things but it doesn't work on my quizes for some reason
- (2024-08-22) Amanda Molinari: I literally can't read the bright white pages of Canvas for too long without getting the worst headache ever, I really appreciate this extension. However, many headers or sidebar options are still white on white and do not show unless I highlight them.
- (2024-06-06) Lillie Wilkerson: Whoever made this, I love you and my late night headaches love you
- (2024-05-01) Jacob Wheeler: This is very hit-and-miss. I appreciate that someone took the time to make this. However, any headers that are in dark text cannot be read when this dark mode is activated. I either end up missing stuff, or I have to highlight text on the page in order to read it. Needs some tweaks and then it can be very useful!
- (2024-04-30) Scott H. Hawley: Gradebook's white background is not changed to dark, yet it changes students' names to white foreground, so you can't see anybody's names. Not sure how this is useable. ?
- (2024-04-20) Whitney Ayala: exactly what i needed! worked perfectly after i refreshed the page
- (2024-04-09) Jonathan P.: wish there was a button where you could toggle on/off
- (2024-03-12) Nic: Please modify it to work for my university. https://canvas.qut.edu.au/
- (2024-02-21) Luke Johnson: takes 5 seconds
- (2024-02-16) Oreach: Beautiful
- (2024-02-13) Umar Mohammad: Better to have this to avoid being flashbanged
- (2024-02-12) Josh S: Thank you for making this. You're my hero.
- (2024-02-05) hi hi: finally not getting flashbanged everytime i click on a course thanks
- (2024-01-26) Wauwa: Thank you so so so much! My whole google is dark mode, and then I go to my courses and it's like my eyes are bleeding. You are a blessing
- (2024-01-24) Chris Wingler: Doing God's work here!
- (2024-01-18) Angel Albino: I don't get flashed anymore when switching between canvas and google docs. :D
- (2023-12-12) sam gamboa: god i am so grateful for this extension, the white was straining my eyes so bad XC!!
- (2023-11-27) Toney: Works perfect
- (2023-11-01) Jacob: thank you now I don't have to be blinded
- (2023-11-01) Jacob: thank you now I don't have to be blinded
- (2023-10-28) Kevin O'Hear Valesi: With a click of the button, this extension made the Canvas's glaringly strenuous page much easier to look at. IT WORKS. With that said, certain sub-text (think descriptions and instructions) doesn't seem to contrast itself enough from the dark background, and may be hard to read. I've found myself highlighting this text when needed, or squinting closely at it, but the extension does it's job in making Canvas less stressful in dark environments, and a simple ctrl+a solves the contrast issue.

- (2023-09-23) rose ibarra: I love it so much! I was diagnosed with astigmatism a few years back and I work late into the day so the only time I can work on homework is at night. It's sad that Canvas has not thought of a dark mode for desktop / web when many applications have already. The only issue I have is when I try sending an email to my professors via inbox, NONE of the text is visible, all of the text is still a dark colored font and it matches the dark themed background. The only way for me to read the messages is to highlight the text and read from there, I wish there was a way that the font color was white as well. That is my only constructive feedback, thank you for this extension!!!
